View Full Version : This how our peerless leader must look like [homebrew eMakeda version II]

Hello Tyrants,

The current eMakeda is a real lackluster, i am not a fan of her, her feat does not feel complete and she relies to much on road of war (i have made it charge only, giving SPD for everything over the top, for the other movements we have the Tyrants).

This Makeda version is more fluffy and more leader. What do you guys think off this peerless leader?

Makeda has risen in the skorne people’s hour of need as a peerless leader whose vision of their mutual destiny has inspired her soldiers to ever greater efforts. Makeda has vowed to impose order and forge the seeds of a new nation. Solidarity will be the key to rising from the ashes and leading an empire which spans the continent. Any who defy her conviction will fall to the wayside or feel her boots trampling them underfoot.

While in Makeda’s control area, Makeda may activated a friendly Faction unit again for each fury point she spend. At the end of this turn after all friendly models have completed their normal activation, affected units may be activated.

Archdomina Makeda she is almost fine:
Remove Blood-Quenched with Sword Master and give her Weapon master

(The rule sword master does not exist in MKII anymore, this is a good ruling.)

Homebrew Makeda's version I

After brainstorming this night i created a fun but balanced (epic) Makeda, what do you guys think of both versions?

So soul tokens don't turn into focus? Meaning I have to keep 2 numbers on her and adding a new system to the game for one model?

The needs reworded badly but I think you're saying... I can spend 6 focus and then have 6 of my units go twice in one round? I noticed it's just units and not models, which is wierd.

Why the change to road to war? I don't understand how making road to war affect everything in her control area will make her less dependent on it. It's more powerful and less flexible.

I have fun with EMakeda as she is right now. And I think this feat is really overpowered.

Or give eMakeda her MK1 feat back your opponent need to clear whole units if he/she does not well bad luck all work for nothing. But more like 1+D3 units can be restored ?
And just a thought what about replace Leash for Escort i think Escort would be pretty neat on her.

Escort

2 Self Ctrl – Yes No (just rename it to a fluffy name that fits her)
Warjacks(Warbeasts) in this modelʼs battlegroup beginning their activations in its control area gain +2˝ movement. This model gains +2 ARM while one or more warjacks(warbeasts) in its battlegroup are within 3˝ of it.

She don't need more movement spells. The only change i feel she needs is Foxhole (cornercase spell for her) to be changed for some more useful buff. Preferebly something else than another ARM buff (I like them all, but enough is enough). I wouldn'y mind if Combo Strike was changed for anything good either.

I like the feat, something similar to Estryker or Madrak. It kind of fits her theme.

But i liked the other Emakeda that you wrote up.
The one with Total Obeideince and Deflection.
That one felt more like a leader of the Skorne Empire.

I do think that the best skorne warrior should have weapon master.:D

That feat is insanely broken and you should feel bad:p

I like most of the other changes though, but keeping track of two kinds of token during her turn would be annoying. I personally think she's well balanced, but not really fun right now, so the trick is to keep the balance while gaining the fun, which is tough.

I agree with this 100%

I also feel that Xerxis should have weapon master too, even if he takes a hit to his POW for it. Although, if we are getting an Epic Xerxis, then we can give him weapon master. Regardless, EMakeda should have it.

Its very similar to Estrykers Rolling Thunder feat.

It just needs peeled back a little.

I personally like this one and the other one that Cronix wrote up.

Can you post both EMakedas that you wrote in this thread Cronix?

Maybe we can cross them for a fun and balanced EMakeda.

I could have wrote souls turns into fury but than it would broken ;).... i tought with souls she would be balanced, but did not think about tracking fury and soul tokens.
