Hi all, just wanted to get your opinions on Saxon Orrick and Alten Ashley. It seems to me that Alten is just as good as ever which is awesome, however Saxon seems to have lost the ability that I used him for more often than not, trail blazer. Perhaps now he can be used in conjunction with Rhoven to take two fury off of a warbest which could be a nice fury denial strategy. What unit would you put blind spot on? It seems to me that Idrians are the best use if they have a warbeast prey, other than that it maybe the Knights Exemplar or a Reckoner if you had "defender's ward" up.

Honestly, Saxon Orrik looks pretty crap now. Blind spot goes away after the first miss, and he just doesn't seem to offer much else. In Mk I he was my favorite little Trailblazer, but in Mk II I can't see any reason to take him.

Removing a fury or two really doesn't do that much to most Warlocks, although topping off a beast can be useful when you want to prevent transfers to it, but that's fairly situational. P+S 8 and 10 weaponmaster (against beast only) attacks aren't really anything to write home about either. Worse: he's saddled with a military rifle.

The only good thing about him is that he's only 2 points, so at least he's in the cheap solo category. I'll take him, but not in competitive lists most likely.

Alten is pretty much unchanged, but he costs a princely 3 points now, which will make him somewhat difficult to fit into most lists. Blowing away an aspect of your choice is a quite potent ability though, so this is not a surprise.

Yeah 3 points is a bit price, but he used to cost more than Eiryss in Mk I so I fully expected 3 points.

Yeah, Alten's good. Without nerfing him, there was no way he was going to cost less than 3. And he's still got a RNG 14, which is really nice.

His Skinning Knife really messes w/ Hordes now. I personally like him.
