I entered a small tournament this past weekend and had a blast trying out Rahn for the first time in timed scenario games. I'll post some battle reports later, but right now I'll give you my list. Ok, this was MK I rules so I knew I was jipping myself on the jacks, but I wanted to try them out.

Rahn
Manticore
Chimera
Halbediers +4
Battlemages
Narn
Mage Hunter Assassin
Magister

Game 1 vs. Stryker, Centurian, Lancer, Sword Knights-10, 3 Stormsmiths, Strangeways, Jr., GMCA, Eiryss. I don't think I'm missing anything. This went ok, except that my opponent was rolling extremely well. He never failed to hit, and only ever failed to kill one model with a damage roll. The Stormsmiths killed everything they attacked, and the Manticore was disrupted for the entire game, before being disabled by Stryker. Meanwhile, I did not kill very much, couldn't even win on Rahn's feat turn with a Force blast on Stryker, and a chain blast follow up, with another 5 BM's attacking a knockdown Stryker with 0 focus. Stryker stood up and killed Rahn next turn, with a charging Centurion who actuallly missed the charge attack. It was a horrible die rolling damage experience. The Manticore did do a good job of laying down the Cover Fire template to prevent the Sword Knights from doing anything till the very last couple of turns, and even then, they got no charges out of it.

Game 2: Vlad, Behemoth, 3 Uhlans, Greylords, 4mechanics, Widowmakers, Kell, Eiryss. This game was another close one, with BoK Vlad destroying most things, including the Manticore with the copying of Decapitation from the MHA. Luckily, I was able to slam the Chimera through Vlad with Force Hammer, and the MHA was able to kill him with a nice charge damage of 11 over ARM.

Game 3: Makeda, Bronzeback, Krea, Drake, 10Venators, min Paingivers, Agonizer. Ths was a scenario win for No Man's Land. I went first, and was able to take the center of the board quickly and avoid letting him in. The Bronzeback was the only model contesting the center zone at the third turn, so I dispatched it.

Game 4: Another match-up with the Vlad player for 1st/2nd place. Lost the Chimera early to good rolls from the Behemoth. This game went much worse for me, as I made a lot of tactical mistakes, and was left with the Behemoth and Vlad vs. Rahn. Rahn actually missed two Force Hammers on the feat turn to get stuff out of threat ranges, but 6 1's on two rolls pretty much seals the loss.

So far, I really love how Rahn plays. Second place, wasn't a bad finish for the first time at a tournament with a new faction. I think I'd probably like the Sentinals more than the Houseguard Halbediers, as Shield Wall really didn't prevent anything, and I swung the Battlemages out to the sides to pull/push stuff away from the front lines. Overall, I really love how the army is working out, and can't wait to give it another try with a few more tweaks.

I ran something similar the other night, I played against a Kae list; I won, I should not have.

Edit: Sorry I played mine in MK2.
