Hahaha, 7 hammersmiths? I guess that's your jack!
I'm not wicked crazy about the blue base rings, but it is a heck of an accomplishment to get that many figures painted to what seems like a strong tabletop standard. Can we get any close-ups?

I am not sure if you can tell but I love the models. PP has done a great job as far as I am concerned. Painting has given me my first true relaxation activity. I enjoy it all pinning, fileing and filling. I hope to get all this done this year.... along with new models as they come out.
I tried to take individul pics for detail unfortunatly my camera does not have a white balance feature. I will post some of the groups I did do.

Wow. That is a lot of pewter. And paint. How long have you been playing? Your profile says you've been on these forums since 2008, but I'm guessing you've been playing since before then.
Either that or you have a lot of time on your hands. And money. Can I borrow some (with 0% APR)?
It's bigger than my 40k force. Nice work!

I have done a lot of reclaiming work. Getting stuff that is pretty rough cheap then stripping paint chipping off glue and such. It has been a labor of love . I just cant wait to get the entire army painted.
I had this idea of a cygnar fun list pHaley and eStryker 2 squires 40 stormguard and 40 Steelheads... I have always loved the *** list. I even thought of putting Alexia in there for fun along with Rupert. I started collecting the models not to just get them all painted. Can you imagine the double feat turn...

Very impressive. They look dynamic in the bright blue and white.
With the MKII version out I think your days of cheap Hammersmiths may be behind you.

My only complaint is that I am loosing all my detail in the photos. I will have to get a new camera one day. Hopefully then I can post better pics. I can see a definate improvement in my painting over time. Now I just have to concentrate on finishing the army instead of going back and improving earlier models.

Excellent. I might have that many painted models over a few armies.
If you have 25,509(MkI) pts I can imagine one very p/o'd wife indeed.

I may be trying to pick up two more hunters in the future. Play Kray and all hunters would be fun I have seen to many khador list that this would just 100% own.. Plus I love the uber awesomeness that it gives in over the top ridiculousness.

You're sporting some serious Hammersmith wood there, aren't you? I like the scheme and the slight variations on each. I also notice 2 or 3 that don't follow the scheme. What's their story?

depends.. if he painted all of those over the past month or so.. then yeah.. pissed off wife.. but this could be a few months to even several years of painting and basing during the collection period
i paint my models as i collect them
also for those that figure it's a tonne of time to paint all your figures.. it really only takes a couple hours per figure to get a great job out of one.. and if you paint as you collect.. it's really not that bad
even if you have a large unpainted army.. make a deal with yourself to paint at least 1 figure per week, putting aside a few hours on one night to get them slowly painted.. you might be suprised how fast your army gets painted
edit* nevermind.. just noticed agamemnon was the one that posted 1 pissed off wife.... *facepalm*

I saw the Hammersmiths and thought you had chosen a specialisation. Nope, you just paint fast, very well and have a deep wallet.
Army looks a great and there is something very pleasing about such a horde of blue.
Keep up the good work.

I can't wait to get my Crxy done and have them all on the table at once.
The Cygnar look great, good job.
Fantastic.
If I could pick an army and stick with it, I would probably be there by now.
I'm hoping PoM holds my interest long enough for me to make a group shot like that ;)

I wish this was a one month or so paint job. I have been dutifully working at this for 2 years or so.
I was unsure originaly how I would paint my army. The first Cygnar model I painted was the dark Hunter. I had the idea of him stalking in the woods hidden at night.. Then I read about someone that painted thier models in a blue white paint scheme. This intrigued me but never really thought about it again until.... A little later I was finishing off 2 centurian shields and wanted to make them a little different. The shield is already devided into a upper and lower portion so I did it white and blue....and loved it. Seeing the exact same jack multiple times on the field with mirror paint jobs on them was not something I wanted so I tried quartering the second shield...and that is how my current trend has gone.
The other 4 jacks that dont match are as follows
Sentinel & Charger (brightly painted but dont match)- Painted previously by someone I dont know got it in a trade.
Charger & Lancer (Sick Blue) Got them as is in a purchase of a collection. Orignally this was going to be the colors of my second line jacks/Units. Since then I have decided to go with numbering off jacks and just varying the current color scheme...ie Hammersmiths and now Defenders.
Lancer, Hunter, 2 centurians (gold shoulders) were part of my original purchase that got me loving this color. They were mostly painted when I got them...will end up strippig the lancer and hunter. I am torn about the 2 centurians..I didnt paint them so part of me wants to strip them and make them match...yet part of me wants to keep them as is since they were the first step in my current paint scheme.
As a side note pHaley was not painted by me either. She was part of that original group. She was done by a good friend of mine that has since married and moved to Dallas. I have another one that I will eventually paint, Just cant bring myself to strip a good looking model.
As to how I came into such a large force...well that is part of the pissed off wife thing. I do a lot of horsetradeing. People wanting to completly change out factions will have entire armies up for sale. I do tend to be a little bit of a colector more than a seller. I have several friends that wanted to play when I frist started we all purchased models then they dropped out, gave me their stuff, and I liked the factions. So if things came up cheap I would pick them up. I dont have near the money invested as I should... Horse tradeing is second nature to me.
I hope to hone my skills on Cygnar (my first love) so when I paint up my pirates I can give them the love I want....I am looking at you DangerMouse (http://lorddangermouse.com/id27.html) and your crazy awesome pirates.
My wife expressed a little intrest in painting last year...but she wanted to paint them pink (thinking I would object). Immeaditly I handed her a brush and laid out a bunch of Khador infront of her... So for one glorious night we painted together her choice was the Winterguard mortor crew....and she did a wonderful job. I want the rest of the army to match....but she has not concented to pick up the brush again. I think she did a spectacular job...

Wow, 8K plus points of Cygnar! Gee wiz, I'll have a hard time playing a 200 pt game:D!
Just teasing. Very nice work, I appreciate painted models as I believe it's more then just a minature RPG but also an expression of one's self (at the risk of sounding too profound). I have around 4K worth of Cygnar (also Mercs and Circle), all painted. I just don't want to play them until they're painted. Many think I'm strange (including my son who could care less if they're painted or not), oh well they're probably right.
I personally think you could squeeze in a few more Hammersmiths to make an even 80 points though:p.
Keep up the good work and convince your honey to support the "pink patrol" and finish those northern folk!

You mean a mix of bemusement and glee as he gets ready to rape 50 points worth of 8 models with a balanced force?

The hammersmiths were for a specific list I would play MKI 1000 points Darius and eStryker. It was by no means broken but when you figured in the total damage that I could lay out it was impressive. Darius full throttle upkeep jackhammer and hand out 2 focus then eStryker hitting every other jack with positive charge. Then I had a wall of gonna pound face all over everywhere. It was my fun list. That and I have always loved the look of the hammersmith. My LGS had them on sale when I first started playing so I picked up 3 half off.

1 question, how many points do you actually play with during any normal game...
If you say 25/35 points ill laugh.

I used to love to play 2000 point games. But they are few and far between around here. I started collecting lost of some things for fun list. Like my 1K eStryker Darius 7 hammersmith list or my eStryker pHaley 40 stormguard, 40 steelheads, then just drop a couple here and there for squires and Rupert as they came out.
Just for fun I told my wife I would sell all my other factions if I could build the entire Storm Divison Army (plus anything else Cygnar to basic FA). She almost let me untill she thought to see what it was. She has learned that if I ever ask permission for anything to be very very carful about even saying maybe.

Well I have 6 but none of them are painted yet. I desperatly need to get back to the painting table. I have been working on a unit of Rangers for since I finished the 3 Defenders back in late December. Fallout 3 has been sucking up all the painting and guitar lesson practice time.
