Personally I'm rooting for the 2nd story runner. I mean, we already have the best jack runner in the jame (GO THOR), and the duelist just looks like another rockbottom...although the ability to use coin-esque tricks on rhuls would be nice.

Honestly, the duelist is the only one of those three that I can realistically see in open conflict. They could write the thief in, but why? And the Engines East guy is already making warjacks for the crown, there's really no need for him to be on the front lines.

P.S. I hate typing on this stupid little net-book...

Matt Wilson already stated that only the models that make sense on the battlefield will be transferred. His example was the Rhulic 2nd story man, as he didn't see what role he could fill in combat.

I think a rhulic pistolier would work very differently from Rockbottom in a seaforge list. Seaforge could use an assasin type. The fact that his background is a clan leader might make for some interesting abilities/buffs.
I agree the rhulic thief might fill a similiar role. An acrobat with stealth and espionage would be interesting if not predictable.
The only problem with making them mercenaries is they would only be unique within the seaforge list. Outside the contract there are all ready a number of pistol carrying, acrobatic, stealthy assasins.
Still a little variety never hurts. Retribution has both Eiryss and Narn as well as Nayl. All three fill similiar roles within that faction. (speaking of elves, what about Hyls Lyoros? Outcast Iosan weaponsmaster bada$% anyone?)
Rockbottom while great, really only works to his full potential with sea dogs.
The odd part about Rockbottom is since he is limited to 5 coins. His "full potential" with Sea Dogs involves some major trade offs.
Once your burning coins for Drives, Fear, and buffing a unit. You run out quick. Once the enemy knows your conferring Walk it Off and Payday...You run out of Rockbottom's quick.
In a non-privateer army? Rockbottom may not be as high priority target wise. Further you got 5 coins for Bought Loyalty. Period. I mean if you need 5 coins that's weird sure. However, having 2 spares is kinda hard with pirates. (Not to mention the shrinking range.)
Sorry I don't exactly disagree. I just think he's used very differently in each application.

To go in a non-rhulic direction for a moment I'd probably like to see:

However, if I could choose anything regardless I'd love to see the curator usable somehow with Fiona. Such cool unique models.

So your argument is because he is capable of doing more in a Pirate list he's more of a priority and dies faster so is therefore less useful?
I would agree his roles are different in each list, but in a seaforge list he isn't making your Hammerfall units tough, he's not boosting there melee, and he isn't boosting there shots. These are like mini feats and should rightfully be limited by the number of coins. I guess this is a "trade off" , but it sure would be nice to have these "trade offs" in a seaforge list. I could have used them last night when my guncorps got creamed by a unit of druids.
What he is doing in seaforge is ensuring you pass command checks. He has the ability to do that for pirates too. Its all in what you need at that moment of the game.

I'd like to see Gamack Redhammer. In fact, I'd like to see him so much that I invented rules for him purely out of misguided enthusiasm! (and accidentally made the Sentinel viable while doing so).
Gamack Redhammer, Owner of Engines East
Cygnaran Ally Rhulic Solo
PC: 2
HP: 5
Spd 5 Str 6 Mat 5 Rat 4 Def 12 Arm 14
Abilities:
Repair [9]
'Jack Marshal (note: as an ally jack marshal, Redhammer would be able to control Cygnaran 'jacks when fielded as part of a Cygnaran force, and Mercenary 'jacks - not Rhulic, normal mercenary - when fielded as part of a Mercenary force.)
Master's touch: Any warjack Redhammer successfully uses the Repair action on gains +2 to attack and damage rolls for one turn.
Iron wall: as Sam MacHorne's ability.
Weapons:
Enormous wrench: P+S 11

AS per Faultie's comment.
IK models will only see the battlefield where it makes sense for them to be there.
Therefore a lot of the IK models are very unlikely to be given stats (Redhammer and the second story mean for instance).
The pistolier guy, although I hate the model (legs are not long enough compared to newer dwarves) is probably a safe bet to one day get rules.

I'm actually hoping for a unit of Infernal Umbrals, ala the following:

This times 1 million.
Mercs need a totally bad *** unkillable beat stick solo. Harder than Vilmon with a paladin strapped across his chest. More killy than a mage hunter assassin tag teaming with narn.
I'd totally use the Elder Raelthorne in my army.

Redhammer isn't that unlikely. He owns Engines East, a civilian warjack outfit. It's not completely out-of-the-question to see him fixing warjacks on the battlefield. They could simply update his fluff for it to make more sense, like they did with Lanyssa (who before was a little to "scary" to work for Cygnar...).

He should work for Tailon as well, the ship has a bridge.
Also, there were rules for Vinter at one point... Vinter is a blade-master, he isn't a war caster but he was a combat monster like you wouldn't believe.

Don't forget the Warrior
I need to flesh out the rules for them I have in my head. I have some crazy ideas for them, but I've never made homebrew rules, so I wouldn't know where to start. I see them as warcaster attachments, not a unit. You would be absolutely stupid and not want to live if you were to summon ALL four of them. I absolutely adore these models, though. I keep wanting to buy them just to have them.
*PICTURE OF VINTER*
Oh yeah...
I think he's be an AWESOME addition to any list. A massive beatstick lawnmower. Him and Magnus....hubba hubba, I have mancrushes on little metal models.

Unfortunately, Vinter is too awesome for his own good. It would be impossible to create balanced rules for Vinter and at the same time have it reflect the fluff.
Not to say I wouldn't want to see stats for Vinter...MAT 12 anyone?

They do have rules for Vintner in No Quarter 7, and have to agree, he was quite sick. Let's see, considering teh MK II equivalents, he has Reach, Back Swing, thresher, Tough, Weaponmaster, Fearless, Can remove all damage by forfeitign his activation, Reach, and does not QUITE hit as hard as a Nomad with Kinglslayer.

Mat 12, Power 14, Auto-decap, Weapon-master with two attacks....
Something like that.

I think his rules were MAT9 or 10, DEF15, ARM17, P+S16, Backswing, Thresher, Tough, Retaliate, Reach, Fearless, CMD10 Commander.
He could also regain his hitpoints somehow (I think forfeiting actions or activation or something).
I'm a bit fuzzy, but I hink so.

I'm not sure we can have vinter as a solo. Didn't he defeat the skorne... like ALL of the skorne by himself. Putting him in warmachine , and keeping him true to the fluff vinter , would make you win just by fielding him.
