Thunderhead -12
Hammer Smith -8

Storm Smith -1

Very simple list. Darius uses full throttle if his jacks are to far for walk up and smack but close enough for a good charge. Boosted attaks and free charges with 3 hammersmiths is gonna get a lot of models either dead or facefirst into the dirt while the thunderhead charges forword to completley blow away any infantry and to wresle more dominant targets. while his jacks are in the fray darius will give them extra attacks with jack hammer and be ready to bowl into anything in his path.
and suggestions ?

I would take Strangewayes instead of the two smiths, the extra focus will help alot since Darius doesn't usually have enough focus to go around and that extra one will really help. He also come with a spray that causes disruption so not only do you keep a little anti-jack power but the spray gives you some anti infantry also. Evasive action can also get that special jack where he needs to be nice and whole.
Oh, and he is yet another repair.

With hammersmiths, you will rarely get the first charge, since they have an extremely low threat range (7 1/2 inches) aside from one model that you can crane. If you do crane a model to get that first strike, make sure you get your other hammersmiths there (run if you have to) so that they won't be able to just pick apart your first dude without fear of repercussion. I ran a list very similar to this, and I got beaten because I left my craned hammermsith to get torn apart by the entire opposing army.

Well I only plan on charging if all are close enough otherwise I rather just run and jack hammer. And i do agree Strangeways easily fits the list. But i rather use the stormsmiths
so that I can split the indirect lightning shots on targets that are normaly either unabel to be seen and or jacks that are to far appart to be hit by one single SP8 template. The big advantage of taking Strangeways is deffiantly more the Evasive action then the disruption. But unfortunatly I think I preffer my spd6 rng 10 just pass a skill check and hit stormsmiths. Especialy if I end up facing some more sly targets that I normaly cant hit.
replace sqire and stormsmithes with mechaniks

Practice a lot on your formations. Without reach or polarity shields on your jacks, you are essentially relying on the Thunderhead to defend Darius while your 3 Hammersmiths attack. Hammersmiths don't have reach and so they can't create the no-pass zones that made Centurions so good with Darius in Mk I. Where you move your jacks and when will be key.
