Hello there
Im really quite new to this whole schmozzle but I've been slowly ammassing a force for Menoth and was wondering what you guys thought of it so far.
Ive been buying mainly off ebay and a few online stores as and when I saw something that appealed so not much of a structured system but i like my mods i got to say so far. I got:
PKreoss
Reznik
Avatar
2 Crusaders
Guardian
Revenger
2 Repenters
Paladin
and Vilmonster
I know i need the usual support choices and they are on order, just not sure which direction to go next
I love the models for the units but I'm just not taken with the whole infantry deal, suppose I'm gonna have to submit soon and get some cannon fodder

You definitely need the jack support models. Temple Flameguard with the UA are a decent choice as they can serve many rolls. I like Knights Exemplar for the added punch but they don't do as much.

Another Paladin would do you good.
Sunburst crews are probably top 5 artillery in the game.
In general you can't go wrong with Menoth Infantry. Sure some are 'weaker' then others, but in general our infantry are just really solid and do their jobs well.
I'm a big fan of the Zealots w/ Monolith
Knights Exemplar are good Weapon Masters
Temple Flameguard are good cheap annoyances
Flameguard Cleansers are a great spray template unit
I personally love jacks as well
So:
Get the 8 Point Jack line:
Reckoner is one of our best Jacks
Vanquisher is also a solid choice
Castigator is solid
(Reckoner and Vanquisher love Vassals by the way)
Light Jacks
Can't go wrong with our light jacks. Devout is great for defense. Dervishes are nice for offense. Redeemers are nice to get rid of infantry.
You'll also want to change your faction Symbol to the Menofix ;) lest you be wracked as a heathen

I'd stop on the Jacks for now (you've got plenty) especially with the new plastic kits coming out.
You are going to need units next, and they come in two varieties:
Jack support:
Choir
Vassal
Reclaimer
Mechanic (TBR)
These buggers are almost necessary if you are running lots of jacks, as they increase performance across the board.
Units:
Everything else
These are the filler for your army, the large groups of guys to give buffing spells to. We have lots of different units with lots of different roles, but I second the call for something like TFG + UA or Zealots + MB (full units before UAs). This will give your army the volume of board presence to help against assassinations.

well i think after the support section, full zealots and flame guards it is
my prob with the plastics is i live in england and if the availability and mark up is like the retribution jacks, plastics wont be an option unfortunately
now if the cinerators turn out nice may be after a set of them too
oh this is gonna be one hell of an expensive year, i can see it coming

Allow me to second, third and fourth on picking up a Choir, you can't go wrong there.
A Vassal is a nice cheap option that supplements the jacks well.
Looking at what you've got I might suggest a unit of Knights Exemplar, they're a good "power" unit that do well killing both jacks and infantry (I've got three units... I know, I have a problem), for pairing with Reznik I do like the Bastions as they can block LoS to him are tough to remove from the table and can deliver an effective punch in melee.
You can't go wrong with TFG or Zealots as a cheap infantry option, but if you're planning on playing Kreoss much you definitely should look at ranged options to take advantage of his feat (the ol' pop-and-drop), a Redeemer, Deliverers or Sunburst (we're actually recommending the Sunburst now... what is this world coming to..)

Keep in mind sometimes two min choirs is a better choice than a single full choir. Be aware of that when you are making your purchases.

I noticed you only had two casters, so I'd suggest picking up some more. Severius, Harbinger, Feora1 or 2, Amon, these will give you some more options.
As far as infantry goes, I agree with what everyone else said about TFG and Zealots, with their UA. You really can't go wrong with them. I would however, look into getting some sort of advanced deployment unit. Daughters of the Flame, Exemplar Errants, or Idrians fill a nice role.

Yep... as per above...
If you're on a budget, get a Vassal... If not, get a [full] Choir.
If you want infantry, the sensible money is probably on the Temple Flame Guard [reach, CMA & shield wall).
However, I have a soft spot for Holy Zealots. They're easy to play, disposable and have a few [easy] special rules to "cut your teeth on" as a new player.
They are also [usually] quite cheap in $$$ compared to the Paladin and Guard units...
Enjoy! :D

The infantry you're going to pick up is dependent on your play style. Idrian Skirmishers are pretty good-they advance deploy and are one of the few units with both combined melee and combined ranged attack (have to get the UA for that though). Zealots are cheap and still pack enough of a punch to down opposing infantry especially when they're supported. I personally love TFG because I love the model, but they're also a pretty good road block. I've never really been a big fan of regular knights exemplar--they're a bit too squishy for my taste.
I see you have pKreoss. With him I'd recommend you pick up a redeemer maybe a vanquisher. Deliverers are also very good with him as are zealots. Also, you have to get the Hierophant. It's still an auto-include in every PoM list. Here's a potential list for you:
pKreoss
-Hierophant
-Redeemer
-Vanquisher
-Revenger
Choir (max)
Vassal
Wracks (also an auto-include)
Zealots (max)
-Monolith Bearer
Temple Flameguard (max)
-UA
Deliverers (max)
50/50 (+5 'jack points)
You could also sub the Vanquisher for a Reckoner as it's the same points.

I would recommend some Daughters especially with Kreoss. I like to run them straight at the opposing caster with a little defenders ward on them. While my opponent is trying to kill off some def17 autopinging daughters in his face turn 2, i can ste up the rest of my army for whatever else. Sometimes i get a caster kill on turn 2 with them if i am going against a especially squishy caster and my opponent plays him too far forward.
