I'm going to preface by saying that every person I play against plays Warmachine. When Skorne first came out I made sure I had at least 1 of every piece and FA of every solo. About 3 months before Molik Karn came out all of my models were stolen and it took me a while until I could afford to start buying them again. So now I have bought my way back to a decent Skorne army but not quite to the point I use to be... and until today I had never seen the Molik Karn model in person.

I bought myself Molik Karn today as a present to myself and I had a ton of awesome conversion ideas for him. When I opened the box I immediately realized that none of the ideas I had were going to work out because of how small this model is. I seriously thought that this model was the size of a Mauler because I had only seen it on the website or close ups of it with modded bases. I thought his arms would be about as big as a mauler, he would be standing taller but be thinner.

Molik has to be the smallest Heavy beast or Heavy jack that exists, by a long shot. He fits on a medium base, pretty comfortably, his feat don't go over the edge or anything. What happened to the fluff "a giant of his species" ? He's just as tall as a savage and shorter than my brute and shaman.

Why is he even a heavy? I am sorely disappointed with this model, and really, quite sad at how small it is.

Put him on a rock. You'll be astonished.

I've recently brought and painted the model and to be totally frank I believe it to be the second best looking model right under Xeris and Thagrosh. I really like the fluid motion of the weapons and you can forgive the lack of coversion possiblities as when you compare it to the titans, you'll realise that you're never achieving a better looking model with a titan cannoneer unless you're a modelling genius.
