i do a blog off my work on warseer but i thought i'd do one here as well

i am in the process of collecting all of the circle mini's but i wont be posting them on here.I've got a bit bored with painting and playing one faction so i thought i'd try something from warmachine instead.I first started with menoth but was flatering after one jack and two warcasters so i changed my mind and have gone for cryx after readind a friends faction book so i sold all the menoth and this is what i bought

i've got addmit i did steal the idea for the pistol wraith glow from somewhere on here i'm sorry if it was you.I dont drybrush much when i paint but i did strugle to paint the grey after 3 or 4 atempts at differant styles i was going to give up till a friend sugested i tried dry brushing and i've got addmit it suits the models i think.

When i first started playing privateer games i wanted to do cryx but some of the models put me of doing them like bile thralls and mechanithralls .So for my next insalment my new favourite unit

the one thing i hate about this hobby is pinning but i soilder on through i've just spent a couple off nights putting to gether nightmare a warwich siren and a seether so you should see them soon plus i know i'm getting the death jack for christmas

What color paints did you use for the bonejack armor, and was it all drybrushed on? I'm really struggling right now to get a decent approximation to the studio scheme, and there are very few decent tutorials online. It's pretty frustrating. But your stuff all looks amazing

i started at the top most part of each panel and brushed down pulling the brush away as i went to make it lighter at the top

unfortunatly after the stalker i started my warwitch siren and rengrave and got fed up so i dumped rengrave and tryed to concentrate on the warwitch but in the end i rushed her because i was sick off the sight of her and moved on to something else dystopian

These models are amazing, and it makes me feel empowered to start painting as much as you do.

HOWEVER, I gotta say, even though the paintjobs are A+ top notch, grade A acrylics ... weird choice for free-hand runes on the DJ -- it kinda looks like the Cryxian engineers were getting tired of birds flying into their Warjack's carapaces, so they added those window bird decals.

Anyway, still, great job!

rvrchamp i followed the recipe in the cryx book but replaced blighted gold with vallejo bronze and used vallejo old gold for the highlight

a little update was painting up some bits for the first month of the tale (bane lord tartarus and a bull snapper) and got a bit carried away and finnished off my wraith engine and the ragman. got some pics of the engine and ragman but the camera broke so i havn't got any of tartarus at the moment

How did you get the overseer attached to its base? Mine keeps breaking off at the curly tail bit. Very frustrating.

to be honest lofty i'm not quiet sure i start with cryx bane base then thined coal black and umbral umber then a wash in the recesses of umbral umber and thamar black i used to highlight it but i prefer it as is
