Hi all
I am a Skorne man through and through, but I've been itching for some variety, and the Gators look super keen on paper. The fact that I can easily put a Gatormen Posse into a Skorne list and profit (Paingiver Taskmaster) has sealed the deal.
I want to have a fun little 15pt list to go with said Posse in casual play, and was wondering if a pseudo-brick-thing would work out.
Bloody Barnabas +6
- Ironback Spitter -8
- Bull Snapper -3
Gaterman Posse (full) -9
Swamp Gobber Bellows Crew -1
Gators will make a wedge formation with the Spitter in the center, tossing out ranged attacks over the Gators' heads, going for the enemy caster as much as possible.
Barnabas will be close by, upkeeping Iron Flesh on the Gators and sticking close to the Girded turtle should the need arise. I figure I could possibly fit most of the list into the 5" AOE swamp he can create should I face heavy ranged firepower. He'll of course join in the melee when the lines clash.
The Snapper will stick behind these guys, perhaps joining in the melee later. He'll mainly be used to boost the armor of Barnabas when Barnabas heads into melee, perhaps taking out a solo if the opportunity arises. Since the main idea will be to take out the enemy caster, the Snapper can be a nice missile I'd guess.
Swamp Gobbers will grant even more defense against range as I close in (there's plenty of it in my meta).
Now I know the Wrastler is great, but I love the Snapper model and I'm on a tight budget. Since I play Skorne, the thought of a high power, corrosive AOE makes me a little giddy. Two of my main opponents play infantry-heavy Retribution, even at 15 pts, so I'm thinking that AOE will come in handy. At the very least it will soften up the enemy casters at range and tie up warnouns in melee.
