I was thinking that the Iron Kingdoms Ogre Warrior would make a nice transition as a SC solo.

Any ideas?

The mobile artillery role is filled already by the Gunner, Blaster and Herne & Jonne. Also the Ogre warrior from the rp line is a horrible model - way too small, and with a stupid, goofy face that looks like it was cast from a 2nd edition 40k ork.

No thank you. What is REALLY needed is some sort of magical attack. Some sort of Rhullic model with either a magical attack or a magical weapon. A dwarf wizard or warrior with a mechanikal blade/axe or something. More stuff with Pathfinder would be nice too of course, but some magical offense is probably the most needed.

you're right, a magical attack would be awesome... something like greylords maybe

Dwarven Runecasters?

I would say a multi-wound set of ogrun for Searforge.

Runecasters maybe...I would think more of a trio of priests to the stonefathers I believe they are called?

An entire unit of Ogrun with barrage scatterguns....

Maybe Herne finally made some sales.

There's so much I want myself for my Seaforge army, I hadn't thought of a multi wound ogrun unit that would be cool, but I'd love to see a cheap Melee light jack (or something like the Grenadier) that I wouldn't mind attaching to my Highshields and a unit of mechanics, Poor Thor just can't be everywhere at once..

The Searforge contract is never going to get a Melee light jack, that's what the Bokur are for.

I'd like to see however a Searforge unit of halfjacks... immunity to poison and gas type attacks. Enhanced sensors (think infra red) means they have eyeless sight. The whole unit can be given orders just like a living unit for the cost of one focus or they can be marshalled and can be controlled with a jack marshall point....

I would like to see this fellow as a cheap no thrills solo.

cheap as in 2pts, we got so many options at 3pts its not where he needs to be.

no thrills as in he doesnt need a plethora of special rules.

something along the lines of a magical weapon, a handgun, and maybe assault (the one where he can fire his gun on the charge before hitting)

simple and useable.

i'd love to see some more ogruns - multi-wound 3/5 unit with something like cygnar's stormblades - high pow melee combined with a medium pow, low range ranged attack. something a little multi-purpose-y.

we do have a good melee unit (one of the best in the game imho) with the forge guard and a nice ranged unit with the high shields.

as an alternative, i'd be in for the rhulic alternative to the greylords - bearded, cheap, spellslinging runecasters. give them some infantry buff (stone stance = +2 ARM or an additional die on ranged attack / damage rolls...), some field control (rough terrain AOEs or cloud effects or pushbacks) and something specifically rhulic (d3 heal on rhulic solos?).

and, of course: rhulic character warjacks, another solo (not necessarily character solo) and another unit of dwarven greatness...

I don't think the whole runecaster thing should be the fluff route for it, Trolls have that one as a focus. I would rather see a group of priests to the stonefathers, it would be much different feel overall and I could see them being let out of the mountains because of Everblight.

Watch out making a burly unit as multi purpose. It will be spread thin on one part or the other to make up for the wounds.
