Exactly like the title says. Just started playing and The High Reclaimer is my guy. Any advice?

HR likes infantry. Specifically, he likes some solid multi-wounders to bring back with his feat along with chaff to get souls out of. Focus efficient jacks are also really important with him. During early turns, the strategy is to lay down a literal smokescreen to deliver your army (obviously useless vs. Legion) and eat up their infantry with A2A (which may make an arcnode a solid investment. A skeleton of a list at 35 points would look something like this:
High Reclaimer +6
-Reckoner 8
-Repenter 4
Avatar of Menoth 11
Min Choir of Menoth 2
Max Holy Zealots 6
Max Bastions 8
Vassal of Menoth 2

I would definately take an Arch node with the High Reclaimer. Since he gets no real benifit from the Blessing of Vengeance the Revenger you got in the Battlebox will do nicely here. Other than that MeniteTom gave you some great advice. You take some nice models to bring back with his feat, some cannon-fodder to give him souls and then you blast him with A2A. Having 20+ focus some turns can give you a lot of casts :).
Here's a list you can try right away going from the models you said you'd purchased on the Community Forum.
High Reclaimer
^Revenger
^Fire of Salvation
10xTFG
10xZealots *
6xChoir +
5xBastions #
Covenant of Menoth
Wracks
*here you should buy 2 zealot blisters to make it a full unit
+you said you'd bought the leader and acolyte blister. However a choir is leader +3 grunts or leader +5 grunts. Go and buy two blisters of two grunts each
#Max bastions aren't cheap but I guess this is a side effect of purchasing casters blind. High Reclaimer really needs to bring back a nice unit of Bastions on his feat turn to make the most out of it.

One thing the High Reclaimer likes is accurate weaponmasters. Rhoven and his buddies are actually an excellent choice for him. Not only do you get a tool to deal with enemy upkeeps, but you get a CMD 10 field commander and a pair of bodyguards that can be brought back with his feat and are MAT 8. Also, if you mess up order of operations and activate the HR before a shooting model (like the Reckoner or Vanquisher), you can have Rhoven cover for you. This can happen a lot more than you might expect, when people start trying to use Burning Ash and Ritual Sacrifice on the same turn.
The other thing the High Reclaimer likes is troops with naturally good DEF, since stacking burning ash on top of good DEF can really keep troops alive for a long time. To this end, I usually bring Daughters of the Flame and/or some TFG. You can also bring Rhupert to stack some DEF on top of that, and the Reckoner is an excellent jack for him as well, since Ashen Veil stacks with Burning Ash (although not the concealment part sadly). Also, the Reckoner gives you a tool to debuff enemy defense, which is something the High Reclaimer is always looking for, especially when your MAT 7 or 8 weaponmasters are going after a DEF 16 caster.
With Rhupert and Burning Ash, even simple Knights Exemplar are effectively DEF 15 in melee against living models. That's astoundingly good, since they're normally so easy to hit and kill.
I usually try to bring an arc node too, although it's not as vital anymore since you can't arc Burning Ash. Sometimes I bring a Guardian with him, simply because the Arc node is a contingency I might use once in the game, but the P+S 17 reach staff is always good regardless.
So for 35 points my list might look like:
High Reclaimer
Reckoner
Guardian
4xChoir
Daughters of the Flame
Knights Exemplar
Visigoth Rhoven and Honor Guard
Covenant of Menoth (knockdowns will make Burning Ash semi-useless!)
Deliverer Sunburst (I love this model, and it loves hiding behind clouds)
Rhupert Carvolo
3xWracks (one free cloud for at least 3 turns typically)
