Bad luck with BLU foam

I bought a couple trays of Portable Warfare's Blu foam from my LGS. The first 2" tray was falling apart at the blu base. So I went back and exchanged it for a new one that was not coming unglued. I took it home and began plucking the foam and loading a few bone chickens in the empty spaces. By the time I got to the 3rd chicken, the Blu foam was coming unglued on this new tray. Pretty frustrating, as I have heard good things about PW's Blu foam and the LGS had no problems with their quality before. I'm not going to bother asking for an exchange from the LGS since I already plucked spaces out. I was wondering if anyone knows the best way to remedy this problem. Should I just use PVA to stick them together again? Or do I need something like a spray adhesive? Thanks in advance.

I have never had this problem before, but I do have a solution. I started my gaming storage collection with some 4" trays. Eventually I didn't need them, so I cut them in half to make two 2" trays. All I had to do was glue on a foam bottom and I would be done. But I found it really hard to get the foam to stick. I tried PVA, carpenter's glue, and even hot glue. The carpenter's glue and hot glue 'worked' but not to my satisfaction. However, I noticed that some of the plucked out spaces stuck really well to my clothing.

So, using the carpenter's glue, I glued a rectangle of cloth-fabric (I suggest you use a natural fibre, obviously) to the new-foam-bottom, and then glued the fabric side to the tray. Viola. Still stuck years later.

The only problem that's been suggested to me is that the fabric might rub the paint / clear coat off faster than foam -- but I have not found that to be an issue for me. YMMV.

use PVA. A few months back i had to customize my foam trays and i found out that PVA (sometimes with the help of some pins you remove ones the glue is dry) works great.

use craft glue and heavy book and let it sit for for 24 hours did this with my old battle foam trays, works like a charm

I got messages from PW and PHD and they both say to use hot glue. Anyone know how long it takes hot glue to cure on foam? Ill have to glue it myself until PHD sends me a replacement. They had a bad batch sent from the manufacturer so Ill have to wait like a month for new foam.

I would hazard a guess at oveernight to be sure. Hot glue typically cures fairly quickly.

Ive used hot glue on my foam many times and its good as soon as it dries.
