so I've got the new book and it looks like sorscha has a new sculpt where she doesn't look like a horse face.

unfortunately her pose is balls but what are you going to do....other than be jelous of cryx for the skarre model :D

oh...and everyone else is getting new sculpts for: stryker, kreoss and denny.

But since the alternative sculpts so far have rocked to an absurd degree, I like the sound of this.

hey whoa! I only wish they made the model as beatiful as the art...that is all! still from what i can see she is much more beatiful and highly detailed....and her....assets are also...hrmm...very well represented ;)

Well, here's hoping that the faction book will reveal a new version of Vlad.

If ever a 'caster needed a resculpt it's him.

Have to agree. I'm currently painting my Vlad, and well, I wish I had just bought eVlad and proxied him (I dont play official tournaments). Especially since i've done him in 'standard' colours, and finding a good gold paint is like trying to find...well...real gold (is currently using Vajello game colour Polished Gold). Lost a lot of detail on his filigree.

Have any of you ever watched the Hobby Series Volume 1: Core Techniques DVD? There is a section there when they are painting Sorscha, specifically her lips, and the narrator makes a comment like

"Make sure the color of her lips is not too dark, after all you don't want to present her as a lady of the night when on the battlefield"

Something like that, but it cracks me up every time i hear someone painting or working on her.

By the way, if you haven't seen Hobby Series Volume 1: Core Technique, i highly recommend it!!

My skill in painting extends ever so slightly beyond considering glue and paste my core materials. I don't need a video to remind me of this.
What I really really _really_ want is to try to tackle some sort of Old Witch conversion though. It won't be pretty.

That's as maybe, but the look on his face in those adds makes me leary of hearing his voice on that DVD; the potential for forced enthusiasm and jolity is to high.

Either to carve out the demiurge I know her to be from those bag lady digs or fully commit to that motif and see if I can make the scrapjack look like a shopping cart...
I really don't know. When I first joined the Motherland I bought a lot of my models off the ebay and Zevanna is one of the very few things I didn't repaint/pose. I want to make her my own.
I always enjoy playing her even though she's the losingest caster I field.

We're all getting new sculpts of our poster-child casters? PLEASE tell me denny looks better than her resculpt. PLEASE!!!!
I'm also pretty excited for the Sorscha sculpt too...she's one of my favorites.

I'm both happy and sad about the Sorscha resculpt. Happy :) cause I hated the old one but sad :( cause I already made my own that I am happy with.

Nothing wrong with Katrina Vlad...he's a bit on the pricey side, but he doesn't seem to be that hard to find.

Naw, stole Gorshade's lady friend and turned her over to the red army.
a paper clip, plastic crystal, I think a fishing weight, piece of sprue, glue an' bakin' soda were also involved.

I wish I could do that much with greenstuff, here it was just used to make hat, coat, boots an sythe blade.

Nothing wrong with Katrina Vlad...he's a bit on the pricey side, but he doesn't seem to be that hard to find.

He's still skinny, it's just hidden by his left arm being across his torso, and his armour still seems odd around his lower arms.
Cloak is much better though.

I'll stick with my conversion for now, until I either see a new sculpt I like, or get around to doing another like I have in my new paint scheme.
