Due to having played very few games against Menoth in MKI. And none so far in MKII, I decided to start this thread.
I will be playing in a league shortly and there will be a heavy Menoth presence. I do have a idea of how they tend to play, but I sure could use some advice on how to deal with their denial puzzle.
I understand it depends on what casters will be used, but I was hoping to get some more general tips and tricks.
I understand that this is a very broad topic with no specific question, so I invite any thoughts or discussions on playing Menoth.
Ps: The Harbringer in particular scares me, so it would be great if someone can share their thoughts on her.
Thanks in advance and may Lord Toruk bless your dice rolling in 2010

There are several ways in mk2 menoth to stop spells. Be sure you do not rely on assassination alone. I usually take plain skarre or epic lich v menoth, personal choice sure, but some of their abilities are too good to give up, like making 1 raider get 6+3d6 to hit and 14+4d6 for damage on a sea witch's feat turn combo'd with skarre's feat, and it's hard to stop that from happening, since it's melee and they have path finder (basically, have good melee abilities, relying on ranged and tricks doesnt always work). Epic Lich's feat allows you to get to their caster, from what i see, they tend to turtle behind a wall that is behind a wall. He has 3x3" smoke clouds he can place, and he can take souls which helps a lot with jacks.
Also deathjack is not an arc-node, so the spell that says "no arc nodes" doesn't defeat him, it helps.
All around it depends, just build a well rounded list, dont lean heavy for assassination runs, or maybe even lean away

Satyxis are great against Menoth, since they tend to hide behind their 'Jacks. Skarre compliments them well (though I prefer eSkarre in general, I'm going to have to agree with 2LiveIs2Die on pSkarre for the feat use for defense purposes).
Against the Harbinger, my suggestion is to spread some damage on her units to make her tempted to utilize Martyrdom. Most Menoth players I've seen are willing to eat 6 or 7 points of damage while she's turtled back halfway across the board. Once she's eaten a few points of damage, pop feat, toss Backlash (via Skarlock or extra focus from Ritual Sacrifice) on the Arc Node she's led with (expect her to be trying to channel Rebuke to lock you down) and pound on it with your Satyxis.
Feedback+Backlash = 2 damage per Lacerator hit, 1 per horns hit (which are still doing 13+3d6 with Power Swell), so it will only take a handful of the Raiders to kill Harbinger through this tactic, especially since you need a 6+ to hit on 3d6 (Dark Guidance) - until you crit with a Lacerator, and then your hit rolls don't matter due to knockdown (and if your lucky, critting on the first hit or fortunate placement or your models will invalidate Enliven if its on the Node). Your biggest problem with this tactic is actually killing the 'Jack too quickly, which is why I tend to run Skarre with a Skarlock and Deathjack for spell cycling and dropping Backlash on other 'Jacks that are unfortunate enough to get in my way... ;)
Depending on army size, I also suggest Soulhunters + Darragh Wrathe. They can do a great job of screening your Satyxis from Rebuke, locking down the enemy, and walking through them if need be. My 50 point list seems tailor made to get around a few of the Menoth denial problems in theory, but I've yet to test it - it does, however, include both the Satyxis and Soulhunters.

Denial Loop or not. They still can't ignore stealth. Local menoth player hates me when playing goreshade all stealth lists. Blackbanes..bane thralls...if he gets that node within 5" to cast rebuke...it's as good as dead. Oh did you kill all my thralls with your stupid deviating AoE's? Sweet...here's a free unit from goreshade that cant be affected by rebuke. Pop...charge...dead.
Goreshade is my goto man for Menoth denial. Stop my spells? Cool....stop my shooting? Not so bad...they still dont have a way to avoid the Axe to the face.
