I know this is a rules question but I figured you guys would know.

When E-Goreshade and the Necrosurgeon don't have any units to bring trooper models back into, does this mean that you can't bring them back? Both abilities state that the models must come back in formation but isn't the unit leader always in formation? I was wondering if you could bring back the leader and thusly bring back the rest of the units models.

Also, with Goreshades feat, when you bring back a non-character warrior model with health boxes. Does the model come back with full health or one health? It does not state in the pdf.

Thanks guys and gals

Sorry mate, pretty sure you need a pre-existing unit in both cases.

Necrosurgery allows you to "add one Grunt to a friendly Mechanithrall unit in this modelʼs command range per token removed". A wiped out unit would not be in command range, nor have a unit to add Grunts to. Note that Death Toll, Reanimation, and eGoreshades Elite Cadre benefit all share similar wording (and the same restrictions).

Reanimator allows you to "return one destroyed non-character friendly Faction warrior model to play ... Place returned trooper models in formation with their original units." In this case, Rules as Written would allow you to return a Leader model from a wiped-out unit to play, followed by the Grunts, as the Leader is always considered in formation. This may be addressed in the rules forum already, but the rules are kinda fuzzy here.
