Hey Scottishsaiyan. Thanks for posting this. Also, I know that Eagle and Empire Game Shop, located at 6468 Landsdowne Ctr, Alexandria, VA 22315, phone number (703) 550-6124, runs Warmachine and Hordes games every Saturday.

I and three of my friends just started playing Warmachine and Hordes and were looking for other places to game. Specifically, we are interested in any place that will be running campaign leagues. Any idea if any of these stores will be participating?

DreamWizards is north of DC in MD, but we're running a league starting in March.

Dang, why does your store have to be an hour away from my house!!! If you don't mind, please let me know what days Dream Wizards will be running the league, as we would still love to head up there to play.

I'm in the same boat here. I talked to the Dreamwizards PG the other day, he was kind enough to come all the way to Bel Air to run our wacky as hell tournament. I'd love to make it down there for a league...

I was debating about doing a list for the whole DC metro area, but then I would be covering an area that would take more than an hour to get from one end to another. I am not sure if any of the Virginia stores are running leagues, I think that Huzzah hobbies is going to be running one soon but I could be wrong.

If I remeber correctly, Gamevault is doing the Windless Wastes League.

Yeah Game Vault is running Windelss Wastes, I think today starts week 3. Not sure since I wasn't able to get down there this past weekend for their lock in to game. The PG down theres name is Tony.

Scot..you are awesome. Just throwing this out there, if anyone is around next week (March 12) there is a 50 WM/H tournament. The link to it is at the bottom of my signature

And as for leagues, GameVault will be running all leagues for the year. There is no cost to sign up for the leagues, just have to play at the store for the points to count.

I apologize for the thread necro, but is there anyplace (or anyone) in the Herndon area who runs demo's? I live in NY but will be dropping down for a week in late July and was interested in getting a warmachine demo thing going on with my dad. I just started playing hordes (like 2 weeks ago) but hes into jacks and picked up the old dwarf starter set thing. It was my hope that someone might be able to help us limp along. Thanks!

So, I have been up to Huzzah Hobbies a few times now on Sunday's but have yet to see anyone playing there. Is this place still active or can someone recommend another store in Northern VA? Thanks!

Hey, if you're free Friday nights you can drop into Leesburg Hobbies & Collectibles around 5:30pm for their Friday night gaming. Otherwise, depending on when you wanted to meet, I could meet you at Huzzah sometime. :-)

Thanks!Huzzah has a Press Ganger, Jay Powell. Talk to the owner about how to get a hold of Jay, I know he's been dealing with some personal stuff recently. If need be, I'd be more than happy to get a hold of him for you.

The guys at Huzzah don't usually start playing until 2 PM. The guys go back and forth between flames of war and Warmahordes most of the time. I was there this last Sunday playing.

There is a Northern Virginia Google Group. People from all over NOVA are on it, organizing games and what not.

PM me if you are interested.

I'm just getting into Warmachine and have begun to build my army. I'll be down once I got them finished.

Replying for subscription mostly.

I just tried to stop by Eagles and Empire, and it was gone. Anyone know if it moved or just plain closed? I'm not terribly heartbroken, but I am curious.

Eagle and empire has moved. I made the same mistake of going to their old location without checking up. They're now located at:

Belle View Shopping Center
1520 Belle View Boulevard
Alexandria, VA 22307

Haven't been to the new location myself yet.

Thanks for the heads-up! I may have to head out there and check out the new place.

One other thing (because it got me) - the big sign still reads "Hodges Galleries". Apparently there's some issue that if they update their sign the whole center has to update (some new state law?). I went around the shopping center three times looking for it. If you're lost, they're right next the Taste of India restaurant on the right side (facing the center from the road) of the shopping center.

They're a little low on Warmachine merchandise on hand but will happily order you anything they don't currently stock.

Just curious if any of these locations are running a Journeyman League or if anyone is interested in running a JM league - I'm coming back to Warmachine after several years and am bringing at least one new player into the fold as well and a JM league would be perfect.

Mando, where are you located?

Middle of Springfield - closest venues would be Eagle & Empire or Hobbytown USA, but I could possibly schlep out to Game Parlor .... drive would be a pain though. Mmm ... Strategist could work as well, used to game there a bit.

Hi,

My friend and I are looking to get into Warmachine. We don't have experience in miniature games, but do have experience in boardgames (both euro and ameritrash). We were wondering if there are any Warmachine groups that play in our area (Shirlington, VA) and if we would be able to come watch/ask questions/demo the game if people are so inclined to teach/let us use their miniatures. Thanks!

Put on your game face!

We have a tournament in just two weeks, at Huzzah Hobbies (http://www.huzzahhobbies.com/) in Ashburn.

It's a 35pt, 2 lists (or 1 if you prefer), Deathclocks. There is a $5 entrance fee which will go straight into store Gift Certificates for 1st through 3rd place (no Coins for this one).

We will be using the SR2012 Beta Packet for the scenarios, rules and such, so be sure to check with Huzzah or myself (Thursdays at the Game Parlor (http://www.gameparlor.com/)) to see a copy of the SR2012 Beta (sorry, can't send out electronic copies). Be prepared to give feedback on the scenarios, so that the tournaments in 2012 are the best they can be!

I look forward to seeing you all there!

Cheers,
- Plarzoid
