Hey Guys I need your help. I've recently come into possession of a partially unassambeled, partially unpainted khador army. I've assembeled all of the models and primered them as well but I'm wondering if I'm missing any good units, and also could you guys help me out with some strategies for facing cryx, and menoth?

Here's my current army list:

1x Sorscha
1xDestroyer
1xJuggernaut
1xKodiak
6x Iron Fang Pikemen
4x Widowmakers
6x Winterguard
6x Kossite Woodsmen
3x Man-O-War Demolition Corps
1x Winterguard Field Gun w/ crew

Am I missing anything I should have? I'm thinking about picking up a butcher and vlad warcaster as from what I hear they're powerful and fairly easy to start with, also a friend of mine told me to pick up Eiryss and Kell Belioch as well.

Also any good strategies or even general tips would help greatly. I pretty much just plop my widowmakers in cover so they can take pot shots at any arc nodes/high priority targets, use the winterguard as a front line defense while my kodiak runs around the field bashing jack's faces in to clear a path to drop some kossite woodsmen. I haven't had a chance to use the pikemen, demo corps, destroyer, juggernaut or field gun as I just assembeled those today.

Any and all help would be greatly appreciated

I would recommend filling out your pikemen or winterguard to full units with support. For the Winterguard that means getting Kovnik Jozef, filling up to 10 soldiers, adding the unit attachement and 3 rocketeers. For the pikemen it would mean going to 10 soldiers and getting the unit attachement. You may end up filling up both units to full eventually, but assuming you are on a budget, pick which ever one you like more.

Other models to consider down the road:
Great Bears
Beast 09
Lady Aiyana & Master Holt
mortars

Of course there are alot of other great options, but alot is personal preferance combined with what models you already have slated for your list. Pikemen and Winterguard are both good for example, but unless you are playing a really big point value you probably will only use one or the other in most lists.

Use one of the online army builders like http://www.forwardkommander.com to make it easy to build lists, post a list up, and it is then easier to suggest specific tweaks you might consider.

As for anti-cryx/menoth tactics, that is a question you will get better feed back on if you post in the Khador Community forums section and even more so if you give specific information on what type of cryx/menoth army you are facing.

I also recommend getting the full unit for the IFP and Winterguard, plus UA. Kovnik Joe makes the Winter Guard shine. Then I would pick up the new faction deck so that you can know what everything does in the new MKII world. After that, pick up what you would like to play.

If you're planning on fielding the kossite woodsmen, I would advise taking yuri the axe, because he can give the woodsmen a nasty buff in the form of tree walker. Also, I'm investgating the devastaor, a beastly jack with arm 25 with its arms locked. Don't look at that as a weakness, 'cause the devvy can still off its auto hitting, pow 18, multiple "' aoe Rain of eath special attack with its arms locked(to the best of my knowledge). This should help with dealing with annaoying cryx infantry and some solos.

Unfortunately it cannot, as soon as the Devastator makes an attack its armour drops. It doesn't specify melee attack.

Its great for survival as you trundle up the field but you need to pick your attack carefully.

Maybe he meant that you can do that while having both of your arms locked by enemy jack.

Which is not a very common situation. But it is right.

Reading the whole post I believe he is usng 'Arms Locked' to refer to the Devastator's armour capabilty, which would mean that using Rain of Death would reduce armour. Plus I believe you cannot lock the Devastators arms.

I have a Destroyer, not a Devestator btw :)

Ok so I'm going to play my buddies Menoth army tonight and I was wondering if you guys could check my list out and give it the go ahead he's definately going to field his Bastions so I went for something that can keep him at bay till I can punch his face in with ice mauls and exploding pikes

1x pSorscha
1x Destroyer
1x Kodiak
6x IFP
3x MoW DC
4x widowmakers.

Does this sound like even a halfway decent list?

Also, thanks for all previous help guys I appreciate it.

[edit] it's a 500 point game. And we'll be playing Mk I rules cause I don't have the mk II rulebook yet.
