Hi all,
I finally was able to put that extra 2" to good use the other day. I know it's not a completely original idea or anything, but hopefully others will find benefit/ increased knowledge from this.
Here's the set up.
Nightmare prey's were the Iron Fang Pikemen. Load Nightmare up on focus. Killed off some of the front ranked IFP to get better use out of Skarre's Perdition. I used eSkare's Perdition to position Nightmare for a good trample run - one that would end with Nightmare within melee range of nIrusk (including the extra 2" distance). Using my army to destroy the last of the IFP except for those that would be trampled by Nightmare en route to nIrusk. After killing the last of the IFP I was able to switch Prey to nIrusk & smash him into paste.
Math:
5.5" (Perdition) + 9" (trample) + 2" (Prey bonus) + 1.75" (Reach) + New Prey bonuses to MAT & damage = WIN!!
Trick to the win was killing off the last of the IFP with the trample. I wouldn't have killed nIrusk without the Prey's bonus damage.
