How Close are you to Fully Painted?

Hey Painting forums! I've received some good feedback on a blog post (http://gk-workbench.com/?p=3069) I've put up about how far along I am with painting my Warmachine models.

Between my two armies I'm an average of 86%. Not so bad! Tell me painting forums, how far along are you?

My Cygnar is sitting at about 75% (of exactly 200 models). My Khador is around there, but it's a much smaller collection. My Mercs, Retribution, Trollbloods, and Cryx are all quite a bit lower (Cryx is actually at 0%, but in my defense I haven't had them that long and I haven't figured out a scheme for them yet), and my Minions are at 100% by virtue of being a small collection of solos. :)

I think I'm actually averaging around 50-60% done, which was a bit surprising, when I did some loose math.

My magnus force, however, is 4 models and 1 base away from being complete!

Last time I checked, I was about 35% fully painted with my Skorne, and about 0% fully painted with my Menoth. Thankfully, I'm now closer to 8% fully painted with my Menoth! Someday, I will field a fully painted Menoth army. (That day is soon! Yay slow grow league!)

All my Cygnar is painted except for 2 Long Gunners and 2 Precursor Knights - I've left them alone because I'm going to acquire units at some point and I'll paint the unit together. I have a rule that I'm not allowed to buy more until I paint the ones I have!

I actually had all my Menoth done then I decided I didn't like the scheme and started simple greening every thing so I'm actually only got a handful of models done. For those who are interested the scheme was making every thing similar to the Testamen and HR but then I decided I wanted a studio scheme.

Theoretically, if you didn't have any unpainted models, wouldn't you just go out and buy more models? It seems to me that "fully painted" is, at best, a transient state. But maybe that's just because I enjoy the hobby aspect of this game more than the actual game.

I was very close to having a fully painted Circle force for a while...but then I decided to pick up more stuff. Now I'm probably 70% painted (out of 400 points of models). My Khador force is considerably smaller (50 points currently) but is probably 50% painted. I had a 50 point Highborn list that was 100% painted...but I sold it.

Most of the time i field competitive fully painted menoth armies, sometimes a unit or a solo lacks some colour on bigger battles.

I have 2 of.....7 units painted (29 %)

I have 3 of 4 casters painted (75%)

I have 4 of 7 solos painted (58%)

and I have 5 of 7 jacks painted (71%)

so all in all, I have 23 of 55 models painted for a total of 42%.

Not sure of the points breakdown, partially because I have a good mix of mercs in my cygnar, which I have no clue under the MK2 rules.

O course, thats just PPS stuff. Throw in the CBT and othe non-PS stuff and I'm down to a total of...probably 10 % painted, but too scared to verify that.

I try to keep my buying in line with my painting. As in, only buy new models after I've finished painting old models. As you can see it's worked pretty well, but as such my collection is a little smaller.

Hm, I've sold off a lot of my excess pewter, so I've actually only one army at the moment, and that is fully painted. So until further notice I'm at 100% painted, but only one (small) army :)

Unit of Ironfangs+UA, 2 MoW STs and a Unit of Bog Trogs are waiting for me to finish painting a pair of Trygons for 40k and finish brass rodding the IFs. I paint prolifically in order to help un-stress between college and work. Also means I don't sleep as much as I should. (DOH!) Even better is my 2500pts of Nids are fully painted except those lists. Mildy ridiculous now that I think about it.

Forward Kommander says I'm at 98% of my 172 Cygnar models, 50% of my 2 Retribution models, and 83% of my 24 Mercenary models.

That's Kara Sloan, a (Plastic) pStryker, Narn, and a Nomad, Bosun Grogspar and an Ogrun Bokur.

I've been pushing recently to get my Cygnar to 100% before Wrath, and they're effectively done for now. I need to bits order some stuff to convert Kara Sloan, and I have the metal boxset pStryker painted, so I'm not planning on painting the plastic one.

Of the grand total of 1797 (accounted for) miniatures I have painted approximately half.
There are some game systems (Flames of War, Rackham, select miniatures of various gaming systems) where I have not counted the amount of miniatures, or keep track. Again, about 50% painted.

From the 422 Warmachine and Hordes miniatures I have approximately 80% painted
Cryx approx 95% painted
Mercenaries approx 85% painted
Menoth approx 70% painted
Skorne approx 30% painted

Lucky, my store (where all the paints are) is closed Monday thru Thursday so I haven't progressed at all. And spring break was no help, I spent that in Hawaii away from my mini's (suffered withdrawal the whole time, lol ;)).

Yeah, sadly I'm not very far along. I'm a very slow painter; it's something I'm trying to fix.

13/193 models painted - 18 points of and 1 Warcaster painted so far, all Cygnar.

My goal is to have 35 points done by Connecticon (July), and I'm shooting for 100 points done by Templecon 2012 (during which time I'm sure my collection will grow another 50-100 points).

I only have the one faction right now, Seaforge mercs. But it's always the same problem, warjacks, warcasters, solos and artillery is fully painted and was done so in good time, but my two units have been half painted for well over 6 months.

Just not one for batch painting anymore, I can paint quite well but just am too bored before I even begin to get through units.

This have put me off gaming, because I also dislike playing against unpainted models and dislike using unpainted/unfinished models even more so. I haven't bought any WM models for ages as well.

Tournaments always fix this lack of motivation, need one to happen in my region soon.
