This one has returned after an entertaining holiday season and inadvertent banning due to poking too much at a hordes faction community that will remain nameless. One hangs ones head in shame. Perhaps RetributionBomb may be able to relate to the trials and tribulations of Hordes Field Tetchiness. Has the Mage Hunter Assassin become the new excuse for why Retribution cannot discuss any element of any other army without charges of bias? Often it seems that discussion went like this:

Retribution Player: "Hello Hordes FT, One believes that model W serves function X very easily, especially if one considers that this model can interact with model Y's ability Z"
<Insert Hordes Faction> Player: "Straw man argument about Mage Hunter Assassin rolling three 5's and a 6 in a recent game caused me to lose, therefore your opinion in moot"

One is tempted to poll if others of our community have been summarily disciplined though probably no good would come of it. So instead, let the theorymachine continue in earnest and may the Retribution achieve its ends!

Also, more pleasant news some ends have been achieved. Retribution won the December Ladder league in Toronto, Canada by a comfortable margin. Rahn is a heroic male elf (melf?) indeed.

As stated above it was due to sensitivities displayed by rival faction community members, though if one had read the initial post one would know that as opposed to one that just stumbles in feed the troll and to get ones post count upped...

I'm trying to determine if you were banned for something you set out to say, or if you are just easily baited.

Either way, admitting you were banned (which means this account will get banned too) and then not taking the high road when attacked seem to indicate that this new account was not destined to last terribly long.

Your join date is Jan 09. It cannot possibly have been a month between when you got banned and now. I cannot reconcile these two facts, barring the forum reset having unbanned a ban that occured between the 1st and the reset.

Is this the case?

Though that being said, no warning was given, no recourse was available to the banned user account, all one could do was await the lifting of the ban. The only email that was sent by the Privateer Press system was to inform that the account privileges had been suspended. One could not even contact the system to inquire for more information as email sent advised against replying as the account was for sending messages only and with cached log in credentials one even had to use a different browser to view the forums anonymously for reading purposes.

Anyway, water under the bridge, let the domination of Retribution continue.

On that, I sympathize, as a friend had the same thing happen. If you get rebanned, clearing cookies should get you back into the forums on your original browser.

Sadly the theorymachine is listed as being a "guest" with in that post though clearly there are posts there predating January 09, one assumes this is related to the announced data loss on the forum.

You essentially started a post with no topic, other then to say "I was banned because hordes field testers don't like the mage hunter assassin." People remind you of the fact that the OP has A) no purpose on this forum and B) suggesting that pressganger are some special club designed to keep you down.

Not really the best ways to announce that you are now unbanned.

And because I'm curious, why do you speak like Bob Dole?

@PG_galonso, no offense taken if it was meant in jest. Further more, if one has taken the name theorymachine, likely one cases not to be taken seriously. In fact this account is intended to be ironic and humourous, clearly the intent is missed by some or most.

Seemingly the fun has been beaten out of the Privateer Press Forum. One can npo longer post one's experiences with the communities or tools without incurring nerd rage. Excellent, one will then instead return to rampant speculation of models and to winning games at the local game store. Thank you RedPhantasm for wetting that blanket prior to throwing it upon this thread.
