This dude has walked through hell and back, after having a chat with the big boss himself, he is easilly one of the coolest dudes around-BUT I just can't get him to work on the table!
Now we start with MK II and one of my new years resolutions, is to get this guy to work, and that is where you guys come in, can I get some good advice, both to tactics and lists??

1 - Take a good amount of cheap troops (I prefer TFG over Zealots)
2 - Take a few Revive targets, preferably good MAT and P+S like Exemplars.
2 - Do not be afraid to throw away said troops purely as bodies/road blocks. In fact, it is almost necessary. When they die, you get soul tokens and a feat that allows you to move through the models that just killed them.
4 - Remember to Urcaen's Gate. It makes his threat range pretty amazing, and keeps him in the game where others would fold.
I also recommend Seneschals, and a heavy for Hallowed Avenger - because he plays a death-driven game and both those things will profit. Some people also like Ashen Veil on Daughters.

Daughters were one of the first things that came to mind with ashen veil, but I'm also thinking about Idrians. As for jacks I'm thinking about the Reckoner, also fits nice with the name hehe. How many jacks does he need, 50pts list mind-

One. Seriously. Your heavy hitting should come from KE, Bastions, and the upcoming Cinerators.

Cinerators will be brought in all my armies from now on, I get a mental jolt every time I look at those guys!!

50 pts I'd take 2 heavies, 1 being the Avatar.
I like the Castigator as my heavy because although he doesn't hit that hard, he does have the 2 open fists and the ability to clear large swathes of troops (something useful for the Testament).

I like the Crusader because:
1) It takes up the minimal amount of points while not wasting any jack points.
2) Troop clearing isn't a problem in a infantry swarm list. You've got enough models to trade swings with another swarm. My concern is an almost pure heavies list. You need something to hit anything really hard that should get through the meat shield of infantry.

Idrians just love Ashen Veil, but unfortunately the have a bad habit of wandering out of the Testament's control area and denying him their souls when they die.

Wait. He's good with bastions?!

Not really, they come back with one wound. He might be good with Cinerators though, if their description can be trusted.

I see. And If i understand the rules correctly, his feat makes models incorporeal, which is still subject to free strkes if the unit has a magical weapon?

Yes. Models with magical melee weapons or gunfighter and magical ranged
weapons should be priority targets.

Let me be the odd man out and advise you to take 2+ jacks. I like to pop the Testament's feat and run a jack next to the enemy caster. I'll take the Avatar (runs itself and has reach), Fire of Salvation (Righteous Vengeance and Hallowed Avenger are incredibly fast) or, when it comes out, the Templar (Hallowed Avenger and reach).
Along with the 2 jacks I run 2 units of combat troops. I send 2-3 grunts in to kill what they can and tie up my opponent's threats, forcing my opponent to kill them, and then revive them back. I like Errants (blessed crossbows and weapon master FTW), Daughters (autopoint) and Vengers (great threat range), but I expect the Cinerators will work equally well.
The rest of the list is what you want. Options I like include wracks, choir, a vassal or the covenant for support and a Devout for shield guard and reach.
It's an aggressive list that really takes advantage of the Testament's spell list and feat. If you try it, let me know how it works for you.

Mk. 1 Testament was my tourny caster anytime I wasn't taking Amon (yes, I took Amon to tournies and did suprisingly well with 5 devouts, 3 dervish and a bov!). I suspect ToM will still love Idrians, Zealots, Cav (with gravus), the only problem is that now I have to find a place for the avatar in the points! :(
