I'm sure it's very simple and I'm over thinking this but I just can't grok it. What's the advantage to extending the range of a spell that isn't getting cast at a distance

Nevermind I think I just got it. "point of origin" just sunk in. So if he isn't using a Lancer he gets +5 range? Is it really that simple?

Yep. If Caine isn't channeling the spell, its range is +5. It really is that simple.

Yes.

When Caine casts a spell without arcing it through an Arc Node, you add 5" to it's RNG as listed in his Spell List. Thus, you can cast Thunderstike at something 13" from Caine. If he Arcs the spell through an Arc Node, then you do not add the 5", so that Thunderstrike can be cast something 8" from a Lancer. (or Thorn)

No worries. Nowadays most do get posted on line, and if yours was the worst of it we could call ourselves truly blessed! : )

It would be nice if range amplifier extended the range of teleport by 5 inches as well. But then, that'd be OP right?
