About 6 months ago my twin brother officially became an airman of the United States airforce, about a week ago my other brother went off to Germany as Private E2 of the United States Army.
These two wierdos are really the only people I ever truly enjoyed playing the game with, so needless to say, I miss them.:(
But I have to say I am incredibly proud of them both. So I decided that once I get arround to getting my Retribution army I am going to paint it to honor my brothers.

So the question is, do I combine all the colors into one color scheme or do I do some models like the army and some like the airforce?

I'd pick two warcasters for them, and base a battle group around each one, with a respective color scheme for each, just a matter of picking an army that suits each one that way.

You could always do the jacks in an Air Force scheme and the troops in an Army scheme.
As a vet, this is pretty cool.

That's a pretty cool idea!

Agree with both posters and the concepts sounds pretty awesome...just pick what basing/terrain you want to use and then can also help out in narrowing down your choices.
I come from a military family also...Dad & Brother in the Air Force, Sis in Army (about to do her 5th deployment in the past 7 years!), and I did my time in the Marines.

Maybe troopers as Army and 'jacks as Air Force? Or maybe Army and Army Air Corps?
As a Navy guy, I still think its a cool idea and agree with the above posts.

Maybe your ranged-focused units could be Air Force, and the melee ones could be Army?

I think the Inf - Army and the 'jacks - Force is a good idea.

Idk... Kinda always thought the red and gold scheme was better... Semper Fi! Haha, j/k. But it is cool idea to honor them with a paint scheme.

Army: Golden Knights (paratroop demo team)
Air Force (Thunderbirds)
Navy (Blue Angels)
Marines (dress blues...Irusk or MoW would look neat in this)

Why not do the digital camo with shoulder pads (aka unit ''patches") with the appropriate color combo since the forces share similar camo schemes??? It could work. There are a few good camo ret 'jacks on the old forums....otherwise yes, air force colors work well for jacks and the bug battalions work awesome in black/yellow. Rifleman fit well also.

I second the distinction between jacks and infantry as Air Force and Army.
I did my four in the Marines. Never thought of painting that scheme though. Red and Gold is Skorne and their unofficial motto could be "Pain is weakness leaving the body". I wonder if that was purposeful! :p

Ditto.
I like the jack-air force / inf - army theme idea. The force may not seem cohesive but if you do the bases all similar it should help - plus points for the cool tribute idea.
Hand salute to you for showing such respect for your bro's and their decisions.

Thank you guys for all the input!
It'll be a little bit before any of this comes to fruition, but I'll definitely post pics asap.

"Pain is weakness leaving the body...." Classic! Didn't even think of it like that. I'm pretty sure that lil baby elephant wouldn't agree though... Poor fella.
