#1. Can the Spriggan Trample and then use the Grenades of he is not in Melee or engaged? Let's assume he was allocated 3 focus
#2 Also can the Spriggan use the nades if he is Engaged or Engaging with his 2" Reach?
This came up recently and could not find and answer to #1

1) No. You can make either melee attacks or ranged attacks for your initial attacks during your combat action. Trample is a power attack that uses melee attacks.
2) The Spriggan cannot make ranged attacks if it is in melee.
#1. Unsure, need to read the book...
Afterall, the question is not what can it do with it's initial attack but what can it do with the Focus left on after Trampling.
#2. Nope, it can't make any ranged attacks when engaged or engaging something in melee.

Thanks the part I missed was Trample are Melee attacks. I did not attempt to use the nades as I had a gut feeling it could not.
Glad that clears it up
Thanks
