So I'm considering more than sorscha's winterguard list and it occurs to me that in 35-50 pt games it seems that taking 2-3 jacks is the best way to go.
in that vein I'd like to get some opinions on what jacks work best together with what casters. I'll start with one of my favorite duos:
Vlad
Drago
Devastator
the devvy is great on his own but he also shields drago while he gets into position for his super rocket charge of doom into the enemy. this has been a nigh unbeatable combo for me in MK1 and it only loses 2 inches of threat in MK2 while drago lost 1 pow on his weapon. still a potent combo that can help us get the jump on even the circle players

Butcher1 with a Kodiak + 2 of anything else you like (I've had fun with Drago and a Spriggan.) The glory of Kodiak, Grab and Smash, and Full Throttle is well documented, and Butcher1 is perfectly suited to overcome the Kodiak's only real weakness (relative lack of hitting power.)
Butcher2 with a Spriggan (Beast 09 works too, but I'm stingy in my Butcher2 lists and really can't give up that 1 point :P .) Ravager + Reach + the boosts from Conferred Rage is way more fun than should be legal, and an awesome, awesome way to rack up tons of Rage tokens on his feat turn. Fun tactic: when facing a lot of infantry with this combo, start off with the Assault Shield to kill everything in .5" melee, then unload with War Lance attacks to clean up the rest of the unit. Both weapons hit hard enough that anything but multi-wound infantry is going to be ground into paste.

Karchev and any jacks ^_^
Though I'd single out Behemoth because of great synergy (Behemoth provides shooting, can take punishment and in return receives stationary firing bonuses from powerslide and Unearthly Rage/Total War benefits) and Berserker because of incredible cheapness and ability to wreck face without getting a single focus point on itself.

I'm not so much looking for the best combo's of jacks and casters...but of teams of 2-3 jacks who work off of each other.
for instance mladjanobugarce (you are now Mlad!) says behemoth and juggy...okay the behemoth is more of a threat than the juggy and can take a few more hits so it'll suck up fire and keep the juggy alive longer.
stuff like that.

Spriggan and Behemoth/Destroyer work excellent together versus stealth and smoke. Spriggan flares, and the bombards from the other jacks take over ...
I find the Behemoth works superb on nButcher due to Fury being doubly effective on AP fists (not to mention feat turn with the fists and bombards).
nIrusk's Superiority spell on Beast 09 is just SICK. In a good way :)
eIrusk's bond on a Devastator makes for a hell of a headache for opponents since he can't be knocked down anymore and gets +2 def.
nButcher's feat turns the Devastator's ROD into something spectacular. nButcher's Full Throttle with Kodiaks is a well-documented expression of awesome :P
Those are the ones off the top of my head ;)

would you trade beast 09 in for a spriggan if you were taking the behemoth?

Never. Beast 09 is easily our best warjack in anyone's hands. As much as I enjoy the Spriggan, even when combined with Big B it still can't stand up to the utility and killingness of Beast. Thresher + Reach + POW19 crit freeze axe is just so damn good,
The funny thing is I have proxied Beast09 left and right, but still don't own the actual model. I recognize his strengths, but as a theme-man I know for a fact I'll end up running the theme lists, and the only one Beast can be in is the Sorscha lists, which I don't play. If you play Sorscha you should never even consider leaving home without Beast 09.

In my pbutcher list i run 2 devys and a marauder, the devastators are great for lining up good combo smites and the devestators can act as both anti infantry and anti jack. plus with those hard to hit guys the auto hitting pow 18 is a godsend.

The first 20 points of my pButcher list are spent on Juggernaut, Spriggan, Devastator. Gives a nice mix of threats and heavy armor to give opponents fits. For a 50pt MKII Flashpoint event I took a pButcher, Juggernaut, Spriggan, Devastator, Destroyer 2x Kodiaks, min. Mechkanics and a Koldun Lord. And beat face with it.

My Fav. combo so far is Beast-09, Juggernaut, Kodiak in a pButcher list. Full Throttle + feat turn = nothing left alive within reach of the 3 jacks.

I like 2 Juggernauts. I think they work quite well together to put anything on ice (axe).
Okay seriously though, they are a lot of threat for 14 points. Another same jack pair that I like is 2 Spriggans. They can cover a lot of ground with 4 AoE's between them, and they are not shabby in melee.

As evidenced by the posts in this thread, it's basically impossible to think of 'jack combinations without thinking of what war caster is being used. Seeing as jacks tend not to buff each other all that much (no animi flying around), Warcasters tend to be the linch pin in any battleforce's combo tactics.
As per your example, the Behemoth is more threatening and draws more fire than normal, yes, true. But this has little to do with the juggernaught. Practically all our jacks are less threatening than the Behemoth. You could have said the same thing of a a Behemoth + Berkerker combo.

I'd have to say Kodiak and Beast. If you can get the Kodiak to throw its target towards where Beast can reach it, usually it would be game over for that target.

Fixed that. The bonus Beast gets from his affinity is... quite neglegible, isn't it? It's not as with Drago, who skyrockets under Vladimir. Beast is good in everyone's (and their mother's!) battlegroup. My Go2Jack in lower point Zerkova games, actually.

Twin Juggernauts. Why: Cheap, pow 19 and hard to get rid of if you back them with mechs. There are very few forces in the game that could get rid of both and still be in a good position to handle the rest of your army. They provide the heavy hitting you expect from any other jack at a great cost.
While fairly vanilla, any support at all benefits them greatly, because lets face it, you're taking them to do one thing only: break hard targets. And juggernauts do that extremely well.
