Metro Detroit - East side / Grosse Pointe

Hey all, I'm moving to Grosse Pointe Park and was wondering if there are any warma/hordes players in the area. Sometimes I play up at Get Your Game On in Ann Arbor, and occasionally at RIW, but both of those places are a bit of a drive. We have 2 tables at our place and all three of us who live here play. Anyone else in the area?

I know there's a few folks more east side, but many of them play at RIW or Guild of Blades (In Madison Heights). Since Blue Dragon and Old Guard went down, there just isn't any east side game store.

I'd be game to join you, if my current schedule didn't completely rule out gaming.

Keep your eyes peeled on the thread in my signature. We rotate locations, usually on the weekends - and Guild of Blades in Madison Heights is probably closest. Other option - start a gaming club at your place! I'd be game, too.

Yeah I'm not opposed to having people I know a bit over at all. I guess it's just a matter of meeting people in the area.

In that case, it might be a good idea to get out to RIW, GoB, Pando, etc and get to know some of the locals more. Find out who's on your side of town. :)

Oddly enough a little Google-fu shows that GoB is only slightly closer time-wise than RIW, using GPP as a point of reference. I'm much close to GoB but I still find myself doing most of my gaming at RIW (40 minute drive or so for me, depending on traffic, as opposed to ~10 to GoB) mostly because of space concerns. But that's another story.

But yeah, like Dox said, scout the stores.

Yeah I'm not too keen on GoB as a play space, and RiW is pretty good but the last two semesters I have had class on their warmachine night. Maybe I'll go up a bit this summer.
Nuriochi_sol, I bet I know who you are talking about. He didn't show up to the apartment to help do pre-move in cleaning either but he had a pretty good excuse :P Maybe we should compare stories!

Im in st clair shores. I drive out to RIW which is ~30-40 minutes depending on traffic on tuesdays, but Id love to have some locals to game with. My schedule is a bit crazy for June, but from july on I should have more free time.

Id love to put together a detroit area group, even if we just carpooled to RIW that would be awesome.
