E-Thagrosh+3
Carnivean-11
Typhon-12
Seraph-8
Shepherd-1
Full Unit of Legionnaires-6

The point of this list would be for Thagrosh to cast dragon blood on the legionnaires, while using defensive line to give them 12 Defense and 19 armor, run most units the first turn, then spam sprays until you get into melee.
What do you guys think I could improve/ fix in this list?

Looks really solid.

You might find that dragon blood will serve you better on the carnivean though. depends on opponent army composition. legionnaires are quite useful to E-thagrosh because his army is often outnumbered and they can protect against flanking infantry or act as a meatshield in front of your beasts to absorb charges.

Be careful of proximity of legionnaires to E-Thagrosh, although his Command 10 does help them pass their CMD check.

Try to predict which heavy is going to be the focus of the enemy attention early on (depnds on their army but will usually be typhon) and then put unnatural agression on it. Fantastic spell now. It can get you an early surprise win, just like that, or scare your opponent into not attacking the beast or overcommitting to finish it off. Excessive healing further increases the phsychology of the combo because its so random whether the beass is going to survive.

In order to get most out of the spell, you need to know a bit about how to abuse what "advance toward" means in Mk 2.

If you're looking for suggested changes, I highy recommend a harrier with E-Thag. You could fit it by putting legionnaires at min.

Alright, thanks for the advice :). New list:
35 Points
E-Thagrosh+3
Carnivean-11
Typhon-12
Seraph-8
Harrier-2
Shepherd-1
Min unit of Legionnaires-4
After I cast GoE, should I be casting spiny growth from my caster on my warbeasts if theres no safe target to attack with him?

Would you even need to do this as Ethag can spawn a non unique lesser warbeast. By the time Ethag gets into the thick of things he would probably be targeted - you can then decide whether to shift the damage or spawn a harrier ready with animus for a next turn of beating.

It's worked so far for me.

Good point, but then I could also spawn a shredder for the animus.

Would it also worth it to drop the shepherd, and the legionnaires to get a min unit of raptors?

Either way. I find with excessive healing, spiny growth and dragons blood there are plenty of options for weathering attacks.

The spawn is worth mentioning because it allows you to tweak your lists ever so slightly.

From a few Ethag lists I've tested, I've not had the need for fury management, but if you have a single point left, its always worth throwing in a shepherd

thomas, its up to you what you do with the rest of E-Thag's fury, that's part fo the challenge of the game. I often find myself just upkeeping two upkeeps and camping the rest. Sometimes I put spiny growth on the carnivean. Sometimes I might put either animus on E-Thag too.

Don't rely on your opponent to "give you" a harrier.

I learned that one quickly with E-Thag. I thought that the GOE (now manifest destiny) was good enough in most situations, and that if not then I was bound to get a harrier when needed. Then I played in Hardcore and lost multiple games because I didn't have true strike, against high DEF khadoran casters.

Now E Thag don't leave home without one.

Probably a wise move. With Ethag moving through the field I find the Spawn creation is also a good damage transfer utility.

Thomas - once you get a few games in you'll find the style of play you like with Ethag. Often this means up keeping a spell and spamming manifest destiny when the time arises. The one difficulty I have with Ethag is shielding his large base - judge your distances well and be aware of key threats from your opponent.
