Before you tear apart my list, let me go over a few things:
- I've played WM once in the past year. I've read Mk2, but I have not played a single game with the rules. I haven't even tried putting together a Mk2 list before this.
- I know this list looks similar to others posted here and that's okay with me. I've read the other lists and the feedback. I used that info to help with this list.
- In Mk1 I played Haley and Nemo for most games. I'd like to give Stryker a go.

List goal:
- Shoot things. I like to soften up the enemy with some heavy firepower before melee.
- Have a hard hitting melee unit and at least one jack.
- Be able to take on a variety of opponents. (This is important)
- Come up with a modestly playable list that I like.

Here we go (note that this list was made using the online tool found in the downloads section and the card pdfs - let me know if I have any point errors):

eStryker (-6)
Ol'Rowdy 9
Defender 9 (I like the long range gun)
Sentinel 4 (Take out some troops)
Lancer 6 (Want the arc node)
Squire 2
Storblades(6) 5
Stormblade UA 3
Trencher Cannon 3 (Another long range gun, this time with AOE)

Total: 35

Sentinel is awful for taking out troops. Arc node is not needed at all with eStryker. The Trencher Cannon is just awful.

The frees up a massive 13 points. First thing to grab is the Black 13th for a bit of anti-infantry.

This leaves 9 points. If you really like the Defender, you could grab another. Or the Cyclone, for extra anti-infantry. You could look for an extra point somewhere, probably from dropping Ol' Rowdy for a Hammersmith or Ironclad, and grab a Stormclad for the Stormblades to marshal.

To my eyes, that looks like a pStryker list really. My 35 Stryker looks similar but demote Rowdy to Ironclad, swap Sentinel for Charger and I use Stormguard not Stormblades. JWC and B13 to add another AS and some tricksy shooting on top.

Thanks for the input! I've revised the list based upon the suggestions. Also, I've decided what i want the list to do. I've always played a 'shooty' Cygnar list and I would like to mix it up. I'm thinking more of a melee/beatdown list.

eStryker (-6)
Ol'Rowdy 9
Stormclad 9
Squire 2
Stormblades(6) 5
Stormblade UA 3
Sword Knights(10) 6
Black 13th 4
Stormsmiths(3) 3

This gives me 2 strong melee jacks and 2 hard hitting melee units. The Black 13th and Stormsmiths can flank and go after troops and solos.

Your PDF is out of date. The Stormclad is 10 points now.

Okay... Trying again.

eStryker (-6)
Ol'Rowdy 9
Stormclad 10
Squire 2
Stormblades(6) 5
Stormblade UA 3
Sword Knights(10) 6
Black 13th 4
Stormsmiths(2) 2

Will this work for a melee list? I'm not looking to sit back and shoot...I would like a list that can charge across the board.

Drop the Sword Knights for a second unit of Blades and a third Smith.

Most people don't like Sword Knights so the above mentioned dropping of them is probably the advice you'll get. Personally, I like them because they are cheap, tougher than stormblades, and they have ranked attacks. They are a decent shield for your SB, which I think is worthwhile. Also, between defensive line and deflection, they are infuriatingly tough, while providing little benefit for killing them to your opponent (cheap and expendable). I don't think there is anything wrong with them so long as you view them as lane blockers, intervening models, and the like.

Yeah, the SKs are great for making sure your SBs and 'jacks get to the front line without taking any damage at all. I'd keep the list exactly as is for now and see how you like it.
