Hi fellow people of Cygnar,
what do you think about our firiends who are now able to play MKII with us? Over the weeks i had the feeling that the game was divided in two groups and now we are united? :)
Do you think that any Hordes faction could be difficult ord different to fight or is everything the same? I had a quick look over the Hordes MKII rules and i am excited to fight Krueger^^
btw. some speculation:
The Seraph could show us how the Cyclone could be...

I'm just happy I'm going to see something other than khador and cygnar at my club

The super eKaya rush is going to be interesting.
Kaya casts dog pile and feats
Wayfarer casts hunter's mark
Feral warp wolves warp for speed, and charges for 6+2+2+2+3+.5 = 15.5" threat, 4 fury.... 6 pow 15 attacks and a pow 14 bite - one boosted. Ignores los, difficult terrain.
on average, accounting for 17% chance to miss = 25 boxes on an ironclad.
Haley of either stipe can shut this down, but pHaley would have to be pretty close to the action

So you have a warpwolf that cost 9 gets all that, and it still fails to kill a 7 point Ironclad.
Overall, good thing Fury is better than focus, cause the Hordes don't seem to have some of the power it had in my look through.

Bear in mind Hordes Mk2 is not yet out. This is their field test. We had several over the top strategies and crazy combos in OUR field test that were promptly dropped in the main version.
10 man Stormblades.... effective Sentinels.... probably 7 other things I never used...
Additionally, I probably won't be playing Cygnar vs Hordes until our book comes out, cos I don't want to use our field test or buggy released rules, until I have a hard copy.
That said, I may be playing Legion and trying to find new and horrible ways to use their rather expensive beasts.

I think you mean effective Trenchers. The Sentinel was never effective and PP was told so, which was why their was all the shock that they stayed sucky.

No, I mean effective Sentinels. I found this light jack useful and effective playing it in Mk1, especially with Kraye or marshalled by a ATGM UA.
I don't think I ever used it in Field test, but it was effective once.
However, my point stands that the utility of models in Mk1 OR the field test is not necessarily indicative of their performance in Mk2.
So take all thier shiny over-the-top stuff AND their "OMG this model is now only good for picking my nose with" with a pinch of salt.
Especially if they're picking their nose with their own models while they tell you this...

Overall I’m not feeling the Hordes are going to be as over the top as the field test was for us. We had a large number of very strong things for us, that were eased away in the actual release. I suspect that the hordes field test is going to be a lot closer to the actual release than the wow factor that was the Warmachine release.

I'm still wondering why Cygnar has the worst possible field artillery. But given how much Mk 2 failed Cygnar in other areas, I suppose it's not a big surprise. XD

Yeah I am so envious of the thumper. A built in force hammer? Yeah if that survives the FT I will send PP a postcard every asking why Cygnar keeps all the bad toys but gives away all the good ones.

Fighting Hordes seems to only amplify the value of Gun Mages. Many of their nastiest units rely on Stealth or high DEF, and Gun Mages cut right through that.
Aside from that, a Cygnaran Jack can destroy most Warbeasts (due to higher MAT than other faction Jacks), if it can get the jump on it. We're going to have to watch out though for the increased number of heavy infantry types in Hordes, due to Cygnar's lack of mid-range POW weaponry. Everything is either POW10, or POW17+ after all...

I'm still hoping we get heavy infantry in our book. Heavy infantry seem to be filling a niche that isn't quite the light warjack niche (despite what Khador may say XD), due to the fact that they can get up to ARM 21, and can spread their wounds across several models. It'd be nice to get some heavy infantry of our own to hopefully counterbalance things.

The thumper is going to be very annoying.
it takes 4 focus from caine for less than what that thing does... for 3 points... every turn.
maybe trenchers will have new found favor against trolls.

Ironically, I can see the Trencher Cannon being effective against the Thumper. AD lets you deploy across from it, and Dug In the TCC is practically immune to Thumper fire. Meanwhile, that meagre POW 13 can still kill the main gunner, with the AOE possibly taking out the crew as well (depending on how much their ARM is buffed).
It's one of the reasons I'm starting to look at the TCC as our "counterbattery artillery". All those models clumped up in base-to-base are pretty tempting...

Just played her tonight with 2 Feral Warpwolves, Pureblood and a Gorax. But my Feral Warpwolf had 2 pow 21's and 1 pow 20. Mat 9......no problem taking out an Ironclad or anything for that matter. Keep in mind they can also be boosted (hit or damage). On her feat it boogied back out of harms way!
Don't underestimate the Feral WW, Pureblood or the Gnarlhorn they are all awesome beasts.
That said, just shoot her with your ATGM's she's squishy!

Or you can just have the Black 13th shoot the TCC to death. And while they're at it, hit two other trolls.

you forgot the gnarl horns animus for another 2" range and then the Gorax's animus from kaya for 2 more MAT and STR for a 17.5" threat with 4 fury for 6 POW 17 attacks and a POW 16 bite. : )

Centurion would be able to negate.... 7 inches of that?
3 charge, 2 from dog pile, and 2 from the gnarlhorn?
