View Full Version : Newb needs help with pNemo 25pt list

Hey All,

Veteran wargamer new to Warmachine looking to start a Cygnar army (while I wait for my order of Cryx models to arrive) and would appreciate some feedback on the following list.

pNemo (+6)
Lancer 6
Stormclad 10
Stormblades 5
Stormblade UA 3
2 Stormgunners 2
Squire 2
Journeyman Warcaster 3
Total 25

I like the idea of running a spell slinging warcaster, also considered starting with pHaley but opinions of her seem to indicate she's not one of Cygnar's more effective casters.

Thanks in advance for any advice or input.

It's not bad... blades and Stormclad are a good combo and with Jr and pNemo you can get the blades up to armor 20 against ranged and magic which will mostly likely get them down the field in one piece. You only have one magic casting guy in there to give Nemo a power token which is a slight shame... but at this point size that's quite understandable... and don't forget the enemy's magic casting can give you ones as well if they get close enough.

It's solid army... but watch out for rough terrain. Lots of rough terrain will hose you pretty badly... when you move to 35 points I'd pick up Rhupert for sure along with another spell user like Strangewayes or Aiyanna and Holt or Ragman.

I think Halfhoot's right on the money. You might try dropping the stormblade WAs for Arlan Strangeways even at the 25 point level, though. He gives you extra focus and, more importantly, can make your arc node immune to free strikes. Running to engage your lancer won't neutralize that threat any more. That's important for Nemo since he does NOT want to be anywhere near the front lines. Arlan's a great utility piece, and I think he's an auto-include for pNemo in particular.

Yeah, Arlan FTW. With Arlan in the list you'll be able to hit 10 focus a turn and he can give your jacks evasion for when you need to get the Lancer out of Dodge or the SC in someone's face.
