View Full Version : A positive note from a long time lurker....

I don't post. Well, obviously I am right now, but in general I don't. However, I like having been around here for a long time... not out of pride, as such, just... because.

So I came onto the site for the first time in a while to find... I can't log on.

Panic. Not big, ohsweetzombiejesusIhaven'tlockedthecar panic, just a mild sense of the world shifting under me like sand falling through a gigantic eggtimer, which I happen to be standing in. I'd probably be pressing my hands against the glass, my screams unheard, looking like a mime leaning into the wind or something.

No idea where that came from.

Anyway, I couldn't reset my password because the email address I had originally used is deader than Nicolas Cage's acting credibility after the 'The WIcker Man' remake. ("Oh GOD! Not the BEES!", oh my).

So I emailed admin.

Within 24 hours - history back, username back, and I even got a happy birthday message! How efficient is that? Very, to answer my own inane rhetorical question.

Just though I'd share. Might go back to lurking. Might post again.
Decisions, decisions.

Might even talk about Warmachine next time.
MkII is very cool.

The 24 hour thing wasn't a criticism at all... I was genuinely impressed, actually, I thought I wouldn't get it back at all. I do a little bit of IT stuff myself (I write VBA code for Excel applizzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz yawn) and it's a thankless, soul-crushing, mindlessly repetitive job that makes me feel like gouging out my own eyes with my keys. I just saw you guys were getting a lot of stick for the forum moves and thought I'd throw you a fricken' bone.

You need to make it up to yourselves next weekend. Get some beers, some music, maybe a willing chick or two. Get 'em to dress as Skarre or something.......
Sorry, what was I saying, my mind was wandering?

This statement is so... accurate.

I had a very similar experience and it was handled very expediently. Simon is very diligent.

I remember i sent my email about how i changed email accounts at about 5 in morning and figured he would get back to me. I checked back at like 3 pm and there was a follow up email wanting some more information. I replied immediately and walked away thinking well he will get to it when he can. Not even five minutes later i log back in to check something else and sitting on top of the inbox was everything i needed.

I have always been impressed with the customer service I have received from the staff every time i have called upon them.
