Greetings all,
A friend bought me eMadrak for xmas and I have a local tournament coming up next Sunday which is a 35pt mixed event, and I have decided to use eMadrak for it. Currently I am settled on the following in my list and am torn in how to spend my final 4 points...
eMadrak (-5)
>> Mulg the Ancient (11)
>> Slag Troll (6)
10 Kriel Warriors (6)
>> Standard and Piper (3)
>> 1 Caber Thrower (1)
Krielstone Bearer and 3 Scribes (3)
>> Stone Scribe Elder (1)
Fell Caller (3)
Stone Scribe Chronicler (2)
The Slag looks a solid beast for helping with repositioning for second shot and setting up Mulg for the charge if he needs it, while Mulg is a great choice for desperate hour and Warpath+Overtake shenanigans if he didn't use Warpath previously.
My current options for my last 4 points:
6 Fennblades - Great for his feat and meaning KWs can focus on what they do best without having to be his Grim Salvation babysitters at the same time.
Runeshapers - Some AoE and a bit more ranged threat, also half decent in melee combat if its needed. Sadly their spells do not trigger Warpath, which is a minus point for them.
Dygmies - Have yet to field them so have precious little time to master them before the tournament. Could be useful though with a potential 12 shots on the feat turn, which should be enough to severely damage even heavy warbeasts and warjacks.
Hero + 1 Caber - Build in thresher, plus a high MAT beatstick which could prove valuable for helping to free up KWs to push deeper into the enemy line. Also more cabers can cause carnage, but seem broken with eMadrak's feat which makes me feel dirty inside.
2 Cabers and Whelps - Because sometimes feeling dirty is good, and free healing/fury management for Mulg can make the difference between life and death and a good round vs a great round.
Drop Mulg to a Mauler, add an Axer - Lose a MAT7 reach POW19 warbeast to gain a MAT6 one that can be buffed to POW19, and another MAT6 POW15 reach beast with thresher.
I would like the opinions of the eMadrak veterans out there about which would be the best fit into whats left.
