There is a debate over in the Khador thread about eIrusks feat being able to stand up models that were KD the same turn via throw/slam and still be able to charge.

I.E Devy throws the Spriggan, eIrusks feats, Spriggan stands up and is able to charge.

I know jump start works on KD models from the previous turn only. Same as Revielle. I think a thrown model sacs move or action either way...thoughts please. Maybe a bias opinion will offer a different angle

P.64 - Prime mkII - "A knocked down model can stand up at the start of its next activation unless it was knocked down during its controller's turn; in that case it cannot stand up until its controller's next turn even if it has not yet activated this turn".

Feat: Desperate Ground

Friendly Faction models currently in Iruskʼs control area ignore cloud effects and forests when determining LOS and gain
Pathfinder. Affected models currently knocked down immediately stand up. Enemy models/units beginning their activations in
Iruskʼs control area suffer ?2 SPD and cannot give or receive orders. Desperate Ground lasts for one round.

This is a feat and does not require the models to either forfeit action or movement, or spend a focus point to shake off(which would be required during Control Phase anyway) so, a model knocked down that same turn should still be able to activate as normal(since the feat does not say otherwise) as long as they haven't already activated before the feat(of course).

Still, you may want to post this question in rules forum for further clarification.

Reading further, all that is said in Prime mkII is that...

"Some special rules allow a model to stand up. In that case, the model may stand up even if it was knocked down during the current player's turn".

Best to consult the Infernals on this, because I could swear that they were trying to get rid of this effect (and the whole throwing Steady models bit, too).

This is pretty straightforward, and Vondell has the right of it. Feat trumps basic rule. Since the feat does not contain limiting text (like Jump Start's "Models... knocked down this turn are not affected by Jump Start"), it will stand them up and let them activate as normal.

I must confess to a >bit< of disappointment, as I'd long relished the end of Harbinger Bowling and Drakhun/Pegasus. Oh well, it's only one caster, and it's only on his feat turn, so it's not the end of the world.

Throwing models that have the "Steady" rule (or otherwise cannot be knocked down) is already handled in the rules for throwing (and slamming for that matter). But otherwise, the quotes from Typhael answer the question completely. Especially the last one; Jump Start or Desperate Ground are special effects that allow a model to stand up, which means that they can stand up during the turn they were knocked down without forfeit.

Jump Start actually limits this, so that a model knocked down that same turn is unaffected.
