Hey all. I've been a long time wargamer using certain...other wargames systems and worlds(ie. GW-based games like 40K and Warhammer Fantasy), but have recently switched all my efforts into Privateer Press. This change of heart has come for many reasons, but the main point is that I'm now a full and true Warmachine and Hordes fanatic. I'm currently building up some Warmachine and Hordes forces, and I'm looking for fellow Privateer Press enthusiasts in my neck of the woods to eventually get together with and have some games...perhaps even start a league.

I'm a 28 year-old dude living in Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada, and I'm hoping I can find some like-minded individuals to get some games in with. At the moment, I'm getting my brother into the system, and I myself am what I would consider to be a rank amateur when it comes to this game system(s) at the moment, but I've gotta admit, it's a hell of a lot of fun. More fun and excitement than I've had in any wargame in a long, long time.

The models are stellar, the background is rad, the game system is well thought-out and loads of fun...but I digress. Most of us know this by now, anyway, that's why we're all here.

I'm looking to find Warmahordes players in Nova Scotia, anywhere from the Valley(Wolfville, New Minas, Kentville, etc.), to Windsor, to Halifax and beyond, to get together and battle it out in the Iron Kingdoms. I know there's some of us out here, and I think it's time we made our introductions and started making this happen.

So, if you're into playing Warmachine and Hordes, or are even interested in maybe starting it up, and you live in Nova Scotia, you aren't alone, and our numbers are only growing. Let's get together and form a solid, fun gaming group.

We can use this thread at the moment to make introductions, give details of one another, and arrange some meets and battles. I'm currently working on my Skorne force, and aiming for 50 points, so I can pick and choose, have a little variety, and maybe even play a larger game if possible every now and then. I'm all about the mighty Lord Tyrant Hexeris at the moment, and I'm loving collecting a sizable force to play around with, switch things out for different games, and basically trying new things each and every battle. Again, it's a total blast, and I'm ready to meet the rest of my Nova Scotian brothers and sisters in arms.

So, Nova Scotian Privateer Press fans and gamers....here's the place for us to get together and make our nefarious plans. I look forward to hearing from you!

EDIT: Even if you aren't yet into playing Warmachine or Hordes, or have yet to start an army faction, by all means, get involved in this thread and become a part of it. Trust me, it's completely beyond worth it, and in no time you'll be all about it. So even if you're just interested, you're more than welcome to be a part of this. My hope is that eventually we can have a fairly large Nova Scotian Privateer Press following, and really make it happen. If we do this right and make it work, I'm sure we can even start up a league to rival any other. Thanks for reading, and don't hesitate to reply to this with whatever you have to say, be it questions, encouragement, or otherwise. Let's play like we've got a pair, ladies and gentlemen of the East Coast!

I should also mention that I've got a similar thread to this posted over at Warseer, so as to cover as many bases as possible, and try to get as many of us Nova Scotian Warmahordes gamers and fans in the know and on board. Also, if there's already a group around these parts doing this, getting together, playing games, etc., by all means please let me know, as I'd love to get involved.

I'm almost at the point now where I'm in total recruiting mode, trying to get as many wargamers(and even non-wargamers who could be potential converts!) who'll listen and are interested in trying this amazing system out together around these parts and get a sizable group going. Nova Scotia isn't a huge place, so to be quite frank, location within the province isn't even that huge of an issue. A few of us have vehicles, and I personally have a large apartment, with a room perfect for some wicked gaming tables that we could all gather at for an afternoon of gaming awesomeness.

The truth is that Nova Scotia has a relatively solid core of wargamers floating around. Also, more and more(much like myself) have become a little disallusioned, fed up, or just plain bored with the wargaming systems we've been using forever now, and feel it's time for a change, a little new blood, if you will.

I have a feeling once the first few Scotians see this thread and realize that it's totally within our ability to get together and have some world-class games of Warmachine and Hordes, it's really going to take off. I'm doing everything I can to spread the word here and elsewhere that it's high time for a Nova Scotia Privateer Press gaming league, and I urge my fellows to do the same.

You can reply to this thread, private message me, or even email me at r-stang@hotmail.ca if you're interested in getting this going and doing this up right. I look forward to hearing from you, and eventually meeting you all! Thanks, and get at me!
