If the T-Head charges can he still make a Energy Pulse (*Attack) ?

Is it a ranged attack or not?

I guess I am asking, what happens if he charges and ....

A) Falls short of his charge target, therefore failing the charge, would his activation end before the Energy Pulse attack goes off.

b) Makes the charge, so he is in melee now, if the Energy Pulse is a Ranged attack he can't now use it, as he is in melee.

I am struggling working out how Energy Pulse works within the game mechanics.

I love the idea of the T-Head, with his Bile Thrall Purge ability :), but can't seem to get him to work like I would like.

No, because a charge must be followed by a melee attack.
It's range attack because it's attached to a range weapon.
First, you can't charge with the coil attack, then failing charge it still ends activation immediately.
Can't use coil attack while in melee since it's a range weapon.

Or you can look at it my way, the Thunderhead (I shall never give him less than his full name!) can do whatever he wants because A) He is awsome B) he is science embodied...

or you know, you can do as whats82 says because thats how the game works. :(

To be fair, Arlan is up for the job. Put evasive on the THead and you can almost ignore most of the 'engagement and range weapon' restriction.

Or you can get Nemo to shunt him a few inches forward and drop the pulse... that is, if you're playing with Nemo...
