So I am getting three of the plastic boxes and I haven't decided which warjacks to make. I don't have the patience to magnetize them so thats out. Currently I own a crusader, reckoner, castigator, and the avatar for heavies and a redeemer, repenter, blessing of vengeance and 6 dervishes for my lights. I have amon, both versions of kreoss, both versions of the HR, and pFeora.

Which type and how many of the three options in the plastic box should I built? My thought right now is one of each, but it could change to two vanquishers and a templar.

two vanquishers and a templar sounds good

Get some patience and magnitize the arms and sockets so you can switch between them, I think you'll regret it otherwise. That aside you're missing the Vanquisher which is now a staple jack.

As far as how many, the most I've run of each type in a 50pt list is...

Vanquisher=2
Crusader=4
Reckoner=2
Castigator=0
Templar=1

You're good on lights though you might want a Devout for Amon and when I run Repenters I like to run them in pairs.

You'd be amazed how fast these things can magnetize. Took me maybe an hour to do my Hydra-core. I expect the protectorate on to go much much faster.

Ok I will check it out. Is there somewhere I can go to find out how to magnetize, i.e. what kinds of magnets to buy and so on?

You could use the refrigerator magnets, you can buy sheets of them at most hobby stores for dirt cheap. I like them better than rare earth magnets for two reasons. 1. you can cut to the size you need, 2. they should have enough strength to hold plastic arms(rare earth tends to be too strong and tends to break away from your adhesive).

I would never ever use refrigerator magnets. Just not strong enough. And I've magnetized stuff for years with rare earth magnets, and they've never popped off.

Here's a nice how to thread from the Retribution forums.

You already have a crusader, and most of the imporatnt warjacks that you can't make with the box anyway. Definitely two Vanquishers and a Templar. If I weren't so enamoured with the avatar or needed to free up points those three would be the core of every list I make.

Magnet would make it Really good, so you can make Anything!

ive managed to pin my kit so i can put just slide on any of the right hand weapons or swap the open fist arm with vanq cannon, it worked but they will be have not the best of positions :)

I recommend building a Vanquisher and a Templar, you will want to have at least one of those each.

However, at that point, you have one of all 3(since you own a crusader already), so I recommend either not building the third kit, or magnetizing it. The first two, don't bother. You will never need more than 2 of a single chasis, so there's no reason to make them all magnetized, just make one of them magnetized so you have all 3, and the option to take a second of whichever.

I agree with this.

Really you sould magnetize the kits. Not very much work and you get 9 jacks for the price of three. I have 3 Crusaders, and 2 Vanquishers but I still plan on magnetizing my kit incase I want to run the plastic one as something other than a Templar.
