View Full Version : Warmachine/Hordes in NYC

I'm living in NYC finishing up graduate school. I used to play warhammer FB back in Oregon a bit, never really got too into it. I'm interested in picking up a warpack for a hordes army, maybe trolls but I want to know if anyone in my area plays. I live in NYC (Queens) but travel to Manhattan every day. Anyone know of any active groups? Thanks!

Check out the Complete Strategist in NYC. That's a good place to start.

Thanks for the welcome. I stopped by The Complete Strategist the other day. Seemed very well stocked. Do they actually play games in there? Seemed short on space. I don't really want to get too into the game if there is no one in the area who plays. If they play regularly in there then it's a pretty convenient area for me. Open to any other suggestions if they are out there. Queens works too as I have a car and live in Queens.

@Amaldamator: That's been my biggest problem, as well. I enjoy the ruleset much more than most of the alternative games available, but I'm in New Rochelle and most players in the area just don't seem to play WM/Hordes.

What part of Queens are you in?

Hmm... I need to ask Simon about putting the Worldwide Opponent Finder back onto the forums. It appears as though it's gotten lost.

Thanks for the welcome and the responses. I live in Forest Hills, sort of in the middle of Queens I guess. A world-wide opponent finder would be sweet. I picked up the MK2 book and just from a rule stand point it looks so much better than GW FB (never played 40k).
