Ok, tried my first MKII game today - nice to try it out.
We played 25 points. I ran:
Vlad (+5)
Destroyer 9
Destroyer 9
Widowmakers 4
Mortar Crew 3
Base Winterguard 4
WG Rocketeer 1
I wanted to try out the improved RAT on the ranged stuff and just work on mechanics.
I am not going to be the guy crying about the nerf bat. Signs and Portents has won me more games than any other spell. It is great. Sure, it was better at 3 focus, but I am good with it at 4. Windwall coming down to 3 is good. . . I can still either WW and BOK or WW and S&P. . . but I have to admit I'm sad I can't S&P and BOK and have a focus left over for an additional attack.
I'm not sure if I took this as a Resurgence event list what I'd upgrade with in round 2. It is likely that I'd throw in another mortar crew and fill out the Winterguard with a full squad and UA. Going up to the 50 point mark, the Behemoth marches in for sure. Keeping with the bombard theme, I'd like to think Ol' Herne and Johnne could come to the party, but since they don't get the S&P bonus. . . probably not. Maybe Eiryss at some point to draw some fire.
If I keep with a bombard list with Vlad, the threat range of the bombards is pretty ridiculous (I should be able to target most of the table with them on round 2, but on round 1 I can actually hit the front of my opponent's deployment zone using a running Behemoth).
I'd like to take a crack at a Sorscha Advanced Deploy list, but with the reduction in AD, I think it is not as powerful. . . although Woodsmen were my big killer in the old list.
Comments and criticism are welcome.
