Forum Option request-

Hey guys-


I was wondering if it'd be possible to reimplement the "Go to first unread" option for threads. The defaut per page currently is pretty large and would save alot of post hunting.


Second was I was wondering if at the least we could see when specific users were in a thread in the rules forum. Its nice to know if an Infernal is about to respond to a thread.

That function is actually available, although it is implemented differently than on our old software. If you look to directly to the left of any thread title in the forum index you will see an icon. If you hover over it, the text "Go to first new post" will appear. Just click this icon and voila! The benefit of this is that you can glance at the forum index and immediately see which posts have new content.

The weird thing is that this doesn't work for all threads.

There are times when you can look at the page and see some threads with the marker (with replies after you last read the thread), and some threads with no marker that also have replies after you last read the thread.

I'm not sure what makes this happen, but it seems to be after I've commented in a post.

Maybe I'm just haven't found it yet, but I'm missing the "Mark all posts as read" option.

yah, it doesn't seem to work right, sometimes it will keep track of the new posts properly, but sometimes it doesn't and I have to scroll through the entire thread to find where I left off :(
