I have decided that I will expand my gaming experience into the world of Warmachine. I have cobbled together a list from what I gathered from the net for a 35 point list, and I am sure that there are some glaring holes/weaknesses, but the list is really dominated by the cost of the figs. The cost of this list is about 175+ tax, and I really don't want to spend too much more than that if it can be helped, but to tell the truth, I really don't know anything about the game. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Thanks

stryker (-6) (battlebox 49.99)
ironclad (7)
charger (4)
lancer (6)
b13 (4) - 16.99
squire (2) - 9.99
Stormblades (5) - 42.99
- Stormblade Officer and Standard Bearer (3) - 19.99
JWC (3) - 8.99
Hunter (6) - 16.99
Reinholdt, Gobber Speculator (1) - 5.66

I'll probably get shot for posting here in the Cygnar forums...

I'm no expert, but your list looks pretty decent. However I'd suggest avoiding buying more jacks until you know exactly what you want in your army (after you've played a fair few more games). For instance a Stormclad performs well with Stormblades, but you might decide to go more ranged, or infantry centric.

So, I would suggest you replace the Hunter with some classically handy solos - Eiryss and 3 Stormsmiths (you get 3 in a pack).
Eiryss is a classic auto include, and Stromsmiths are good annoying 1 point fillers. And they cost about the same as a hunter.

Then with Reinholdt reloading Strykers gun, the three Stormsmiths and Eiryss, you can have a lot of fun disrupting (and knocking down) enemy jacks.

Commander Coleman Stryker
- Lancer
- Ironclad
- Squire
Black 13th Gun Mage Strike Team
Stormblade Infantry (Leader and 5 Grunts)
Stormblade Infantry Officer & Standard
Eiryss, Mage Hunter of Ios
Journeyman Warcaster
- Charger
Reinholdt, Gobber Speculator
3 Stormsmith Stormcallers

Your prices seem a little off. The battlebox is a lot cheaper than 50 dollars, try thewarstore.com. They aren't the cheapest but it's a very sound place and the shipping is always 5 dollars no matter how big the order.

I just pulled the prices off of the privateer press website.

Yeah, the PP prices aren't accurate. If you snoop around online you can find better deals.
