My buddy's girlfriend has been complaining about me not having chosen a faction and starting for myself so here I am. Okay, so I have played the game for 20-30 hours, mostly at my buddies apartment. I enjoy the game, but I have not really decided what faction I want to play. I have played menoth and cryx. I have watched trolls, legion and retribution being played. I can say with some certainty that I have no preference.

Are certain armies models cheaper than others? I would be playing 350 most likely with them at least until I stop forgetting certain abilities during play.

Is there a good place to buy models that are put together already, but not necessarily painted?

Also, if I end up buying brand new pieces from the store, is there a website where I can look at the models abilities and point cost beforehand?

Thanks in advance for any help, and I hate the troll impaler.

You can look at the hordes stuff for mk2 now in the FT pdfs, although those aren't final, but it looks like your playing mk1, so the best bet would thumb through game store copies of the books at your LGS.

I'm not sure if there are places you can buy prebuilt models but I assume you could send them to a painting service to have them put together for a niminal fee, I know theres places that order the models themselves, asemble and paint them, one of them is a sponsor for the D6 Generation podcast, although the name escapes me at the moment.

Painted Figs is the D6G sponsor. If I remember correctly, I think they do offer an assembling service.
