First big UK tournament of 2010 is this coming weekend. Here's the list I'm taking:
Lord Commander Stryker
-Ol Rowdy (Bonded)
-Stormclad
-Squire
Stormblades
-UA
Stormblades
Black 13th
Journeyman Warcaster
I've had 3 practice games and won the first one vs Kharchev, but lost the second against pButcher and the third vs eScorsha (perhaps I should have practiced against a few other factions?)
Although that looks like a poor win loss ratio, its not quite as bad as it seems - the 2 games I lost were both this week and due to the fact that the Tournament is fully painted, I haven't had much sleep this week... Both games I was winning, but lost when I charged eStryker into the caster (am I the only one who HATES Iron Flesh?) - In particular, the last game was just Scorsha and a single winter Guardsmen vs Stryker, Ol Rowdy, Stormclad, Black 13th, Junior, Squire (empty) and the Stormblade Officer... If I'd just held back Stryker and left it to the jacks, she's have been dead in the next turn (or boosted a tremor with Ol Rowdy instead of making a normal attack...)
So the plan is to carry on as I have been, but:
1) Be a little more conservative with Stryker if he doesn't need to go in, he won't.
2) get plenty of sleep this week - if I could just finish painting those damn Stormblades on my painting table...
