Resurgence - Talion Charter - Shae Advice

So I have two options for this weekend. I can either run Cygnar or Mercs with Shae. I don't know how feasible this list would be with a lot of very experienced players. Here is what I have:

Any advice on units, model choices or general strategies.

I know for certain that we will have:

2x Cygnar (Both Epic Stryker)
3-5x Khador (Butcher, Epic Vlad, Sorscha, pIrusk, eIrusk)
3x Protectorate (2x Kreoss, 1x Sev)
2x Ret Players
3x Cryx
1x Highborne

Also, is Shae the way to go? Or should I pick Fiona w/ Gun mages and long gunners?

Well, from my understanding you can't take any more than 3 characters until the final round.

Other than that, its very similar that what I was thinking of running until I found out that we were going to run with the smaller point values.

For your 35 pt list I would consider replacing bosun with either Mr. Walls or Master Gunner Dougal. They both have a nice mini feat that will help you in the game.

Mr. Walls works well with shae and his aoe and the mini feat.

Master Gunner Dougal gives the +2 to range mini feat. He also helps with the mariner and your deck guns with the +2 to RAT and reroll of deviation.

Take a good look at both before deciding.

Also for resurgence have a game plan before you go in I just played mine. I am a new player and do not play quickly and with the Talion charter and the number of models you play the timed round can be a killer for you. You may want to play test with friends a couple of times to get a feel for your contract.
