I'm not sure what the legality of this is:
The Ironclad now uses tremor as a melee attack, hitting all models within 2".
Say an upkeep spell is cast on him, either lightning shroud from Nemo, or disruption field. Does he "hit" all models within 2" when he does his tremor? And if so, does this trigger the effects of these spells on all models hit?
Disruption field - Models hit are disrupted.
Lightning shroud - Electro-leap from model hit.

Tremor does not hit anyone. It only "affects" models within 2". Therefore, no additional effects based on "hitting" work.

Using this forum to ask a question along the same topic as this.
Tremor (Attack) - Tremor affects every model within 2˝ of this model and does not require a target. Make one melee attack
roll. If the roll equals or exceeds the DEF of an affected model, it is knocked down. This attack roll cannot be rerolled. This model
can make a Tremor special attack if it charges.
Because this attack does not require a target, but you can make a target for the attack, would that not make it so those spells could be set off against the model that was the target of the tremor attack. If you did pick a target for the Tremor attack

The trick is, you're making a melee attack roll against a target but it is not specifically a melee attack. Since you're not doing an actual melee attack, the model targetted by Tremor is not directly hit, so abilities that would fire off on a successful hit don't actually activate.

I suppose it is possible that if there were any abilities that triggered off of targeting a model with a melee attack, Tremor could trigger them. I know of no such abilities. They work off of hitting or damaging typically, and even if Tremor did target one model, it still does not hit that model.
