Maelok
---Wrastler
---Bull Snapper
---Bull Snapper

Max Gator Posse

Croak
Thrullg
Totem Hunter

Idea is pretty straight forward--on feat turn I have some blazing incorporeal assassination speed--and I can attrition as well with Death Pact/Spiny Growth Posse.

I like this list...if it was 50 points. That way you could add WE&SJ or another Wrastler. Yeah you can play attrition but any kind of armor is going to give you a lot of trouble.

It's also why I think Maelok is better at 50 points. There are so many things he wants.

What about;

List 2

Maelok
---Wrastler
---Bull Snapper
---Bull Snapper

Max Gator Posse

Wrong Eye and Snapjaw
Croak
Thrullg
Totem Hunter

Idea is the same--although Snapjaw/Wrong Eye is swapped for the Gators.

RE: Heavy Armor--my thought would be to attempt to feat past and ignore it for the kill. Still, armor always worries me when I play gators...any other thoughts?

you definitely want 2 full units of posse with Maelock. If you lose 1 full unit I feel that you lose part of what makes him so strong, Revive. If's just not fair to keep throwing Arm 22 Gators back into the mix.

Armor isnt a problem with Maelok, just run the GMP into combat and between Spiny Growth, Death pact and the +2 armor for being in combat makes them a very tough 22Arm. Just have them weather the turn bring back whichever ones died and pop feat. Or even keep a Wrastler or two behind the GMP, pop feat and charge them in. Armor wont matter.

I have run a very basic, but very effective Maelok assassination list. I have only played it 3 times so far, due to work & prep for Temple Con. {click the sig banner, I triple-dog dare you!!}

Maelok
~ Bull Snapper
~ Ironback Spitter
~ Blackhide Wrastler

Totem Hunter

It's 35 on the nose and very straight forward, but it does allow you to shift gears on the fly as needed.
