2 Steamroller lists, thoughts?

these are the two casters i have the most experience with. this is one of my first real double list tourneys, so im just trying to cover my bases.

Spriggan
War dog
Battle Mechaniks (Leader and 3 Grunts)
Widowmakers (Leader and 3 Grunts)
Harlan Versh
Kell Bailoch
Manhunter
Manhunter
Yuri the Axe

this is a more denial list that enjoys shooting early and coming in late game to finish it off. the behemoth is a firebase, with the spriggan helping against clouds/stealth plus he is a good target for superiority. kell and the widowmakers do their thing, the manhunters skirt out flanks for solos and support. harlan is situational gold.

this is the all balls out list. the standard eButch killer that revolves around the feat to either get the caster kill early or gut the army, whichever is easier to pull off.

im trying to cover alot of bases at once hear, any thoughts?

I wouldn't take Irusk without some kind of infantry. You are missing out on much of what he can do. Also the feat has few eligible targets that can actually do much with it. At lower points Irusk is more of a 1 jack caster, or perhaps 2 cheaper jacks.

I think almost any caster would be better then pIrusk for the first list, you will really only be using one of his spells, and you don't have much to keep his squishy self protected.

I would also suggest to stay AWAY from both pIrusk and eVlad for that 1st list. It really doesn't seem suited for either, although I could be missing something huge that would make them fantastic for it.

I would though suggest taking a Gander at the Old Witch. She seems well suited to run the 1st list damn near perfectly
Murder of Crows helps herd light infantry/stealth models into your Manhunters
Behemoth + Old Witch = Gold
Iron Flesh doesn't have any at stand out targets though
Weald Secrets can be bounced around a little
And her feat is gold in scenario with a force similiar to yours

i understand that irusk doesnt seem to be the best fit for the firstlist, but i really like his spell list for utility. superiority is great on the spriggan, and inhospitable ground keeps alot of threats at bay or at least slows them down, airbust helps against stealth, which im expecting alot of, and iron flesh keeps irusk a lil more safe.

i have irusk, both buutchers and karchev to play with, and ive yet to use karchev in Mk2 so i dont know how to use him effectivly.

I don't think that having a list that fits Irusk and having utility are mutually exclusive. I dunno what you have access to but you could get the utility needed while having a good core.

The spriggan is going to help you take care of stealth as it is. Using Iron flesh primarily on irusk is a waste of the spell. having some Wg's, IFP, kayazzi etc to cast it on will do wonders for Irusk survival without needing to cast it on himself. Generally he should rarely get attacked as he has a wall of bodies in front of him.

In short I would consider droping a jack and probably the mechanics, perhaps Harlan as well. Get yourself some staple infantry to use that hefty spell lost and fantastic feat.
