My friend has a 25 point cygnar kraye list that he uses, which consists of:

Kraye
Centurion
Ironclad
Lancer
6 Long Gunners
GMCA

Now I've played this list before using khador, and while I won, his jacks basically became giant missles that flew across the table and hit my jacks first. Now because I was playing Khador, I was able to weather these charges due to the jacks having high armor, and then retaliate, scrapping his jacks on my turn.

I don't think I can afford to let this happen though, should I play retribution. If he gets the charge/alpha strike off, which he most likely will, I fear that most of my myrmidons are as good as scrapped. Does anyone have any tips for what caster/list staples I should take against Kraye?

I have every retribution caster, 2 of every myrmidon, one of every solo thats been released, and one of every unit aside from houseguard long gunners and halbadiers. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

If you had the Riflemen, I'd just say Ravyn + Snipe + Kraye as Target = You probably will win. You simply can jsut outrange the list above with what Retribution has to offer with little effort asf ar as I an tell and you should keep that in mind if you want to build agains

I dunno, just from my side of things as a nont-Retribution player, tis not that good a Kraye list to begin with. And since he's not playing ot Kraye's strengths except a feat turn of turbo-charged warjacks and one with Full Tilt which is just below what you can actually bring firepowerwise to the table, I am not sure you will have oto much trouble fi youb uild the list right.

And stuff.

I would take

Rahn
Phoenix
Sentinals Max+UA
Battle Mages
Stormfall Archers

Use the Phoenix to arc Force Hammer to slam his stuff around. Use the Stormfall archers to either deviate onto the Long Gunners, or Brutal Shot the jacks after being knocked down. Plus, you can pull/push the stuff with the battle mages. Make the GMCA your first target with the Stormfall. Deviations can kill him. Don't forget the Phoenix has a gun as well, use that to deviate onto stuff. Rahn also prevents one model/unit from being charged, so you can stop the charges that way as well. With that many jacks you could also take any caster and a full unit of Mage Hunter Strike force with UA, and remove the jacks that way. Either way, make the GMCA one of your first targets.

Thanks for the advice guys. It also turns out he was full-tilting every single one of his jacks and upkeeping them all on his turn, which I now know is illegal. With that in mind and the tips you've suggested, he won't stand a chance in our next game. =p

Also bear in mind that if 2 Ghost Snipers and pEyriss hit either of those Heavies an arm falls off. Any of Our Heavies can take a charge from them once the strongest arm is damaged and finish it off in return...
