Hey guys. I have a tournament coming up next Sunday, and thought I'd get some advice from players whom are likely far more experienced than I. First time writing in the list discussions, so please excuse any noob-isms on my part.
The local game store is still expanding a bit, so this is kind of the first foray into hosting Warmahordes tournaments. As such we're going with something rather basic, doing some smaller killbox games @ 25 points. The current list I have in my head is as follows:
pLylyth
Raptors - Full
Raptors - Min
Annyssa
Scythean
Shredder
The idea here (which i imagine is kind of obvious) is going right for the jugular with caster kills thanks to those lovely poisoned bows. (With the exception of Cryx, as per our local meta) I figure I can then find an optimal round to have Lylyth pop feat, parasite the caster, and lend additional chances to hit on all Raptors to (hopefully) ensure the kill. (High risk, high reward. I hear this tends to be pLyl's playstyle anyway)
The Scythean is primarily there to deal with any particularly heavy targets that get dangerously close, while also generating Fury. The shredder is there because, well, Tenacity is great and a Deathstalker seemed a bit overkill (on infantry / solo hunting) with that many Raptors + Annyssa in the list.
The original draft of this list had no Annyssa, and instead had two full squads of Raptors. While this does deliver a lot of potential punishment, I feel Annyssa's own hunting abilities coupled with her ability to buff Raptors on the to-hit (for turns prior to pLylyth's feat) would make her a pretty welcome include.
So far it's been a mixed bag. My first test run of it with a Trollbloods player hit him pretty hard, and was a solid victory. Yesterday netted me a loss against Siege (Cygnar). With a few other factors certainly not helping (10" ctrl area sucks for leeching, for the record), I took far too long to kill his Journeyman and Siege had too much armor for me to deal with as a result. (One reason for thinking Annyssa might be a good include)
So that's really it. This is what I have in mind, and am curious what others think of it. If you guys could provide any insight or general thoughts, I'd be most appreciative. =) Thanks in advance for any feedback!
