Replicate seems like an amazing ability on paper, but then I'm new to WM/Hordes and havent had a chance to play against a large amounts of the other faction casters. What are the spells that you really want to replicate if they give you a chance? Which do you guys find yourself replicating most often? Do you find that replicate affects the spells your oppents cast?

I rarely find my self able to replicate, ever... though she has a large control range, more so with a squire, she's backfield. If the opponent's warcaster is in your control range, one of you is likely killing the other within a turn.

Obviously upkeep offensive spells such as crippling grasp and such are ideal, as we don't have any, but any of them can be useful. Timebomb's very expensive for what we get and at focus 8 (+ a reroll), Haley can make as much, if not greater use out of offensive spells than just about anyone.

The problem is focus sparcity... I rarely am going to have enough to make good use of a replicated spell... I have other things to do with my focus using my own spells and jacks normally.

Agreed, I rarely replicate enemy spells but it doesn't mean you shouldn't remind your opponent you can do it. And lots of enemy casters have nice spells to replicate. I've killed several PoM casters by replicating there attack spells and setting them on fire :p

It's a marginal/situational ability but don't forget you have it as it can be really nice.

Well, Rebuke was the #1 replicated spell, now you might be lucky to get Ashes to Ashes or something similar.

I use Haley on a regular basis I love her, and I think in the little time I have been playing Cygnar I have only ever replicated 1 time, all the good spells that menoth have are not considered offensive, and by the time you get close enough to cryx you should have either lost or won by then. But when playing Khador I think that is when she will shine the most with her replicate.
But that?s my opinion.

Replication is mostly just awesome for making people afraid to cast their big offensive spells. I almost never actually use it, but it sure prevents my opponents from using theirs.

Also, I keep reading the title as "eHaley and Republican targets".

I got to copy force Hammer from Rahn once. Player didn't like having his TK and Force Hammer tactics against him.

I've never replicated a spell with her. I keep wanting to though.

Just like with eHaley, enemy offensive spell worth casting are usually arc'd, so with 2 backfield caster sitting near their deployment zone, even 18" control doesn't seem big enough.

I almost replicated A2A once, then I cast Time Bomb instead.

Replication sounds really cool, but Haley has such a versatile spell list that there isn't much benefit to cribbing someone else's.

Yeah, eHaley always have lots of her own spells she want to cast so finding the focus for enemy spells to replicate can be difficult. Although it is worth it if you can copy some more effective damage spells than what she have and assassinate the enemy caster with there own spells. Or anything else worthwhile. But then I tend to use Arcane Bolt quite a bit myself too, so I think depends on your specific playstyle with her too.

I got to replicate Freezing Grip once.

Being able to cast it more (and more accurately) than my Sorscha opponent was amazing. Best look ever!

This. I only really replicate an enemy spell if I want to humiliate someone by being able to brag that I killed his caster with his own hellfire.

There are two casters though which are the exception to this rule and they are the two Deneghras.
Parasite, Crippling Grasp, Curse of Shadows, Scourge are so extremely useful. Crippling Grasping a unit of Bane Knights is way more fun than you should be able to have in a miniature game.

I've got only 2 oportunities to do it in my games and I always had better/more important things to do. Once I could use eMorghouls Flesh Hooks, but I had much better spells to cast, the other time I was able to use eVlad's Ruination (very tempring), but much better opportunity presented itself.

You can only replicate spells that use focus to cast.

Too bad most of them are immune to fire now......

My last game I used eHaley, it was actually a replicated A-2-A onto Sevvy (bounced off of a Crusader, so it was kosher) that won me the game.

You mean Feora? I don't think any of the others are immune to fire, are they?
